Stephen Humphreys,

Your blaming ex ceos for bad player contracts but don't blame pascoe for doing the same. He's been here 6 or 7 years.
All Pascoe did was give a respectable coach who would come to the club and was capable of winning a premiership full autonomy over the club roster
- in hindsight it was a mistake, if Ivan stayed would it have been? history will never know now will it… Ivan signed them and left.

I can let him off the hook (just) for that one… he and the club was shafted by a respected member of football history - and his friend…
if it happens again, I’ll have an issue with it. Outside that, he’s kicking goals all the place… we don’t even have to beg Harry to buy our jersey anymore.

We're seriously not blaming a bloke from 10 years ago on our woes today ? Are we?
WT were hemorrhaging money back then. I forget when, but some time last decade the NRL stopped propping up clubs who couldn't handle their finances properly. We would have folded without Pascoe. Titans, Newcastle and Manly were the other clubs not pulling their weight at the time.

Well that's bullshit, Balmain were broke not Wests Tigers. Nrl never propped us up.

Please, be serious

Pretty sure we had a conditional loan with the NRL (Or Balmain did) Which is why we had out Board re-structured with NRL appointed members... Could be wrong - But I'm pretty sure they appointed Go?

No offence Ivan leaving midway through his tenure, Hartigan's failure to build the roster to NRL standard and the club neglecting to secure Tedesco and our pathways programs (until Madge came on-board) demonstrates the club's suboptimal practices long after Humphrey's left.
Our history of failures may have stemmed from this period but ill prepared successors, no alignment, flawed vision and succession planning plays a large part of our current problems. IMO it comes down to ongoing poor and low performing leaders - in our management and board.

Like that we've got Sheens back because he's aware of all this. He has the extensive knowledge but also the emotional intelligence to steer us away from this.

Yep...
Started with Humpty.
Rolled into Mayer paying millions for kids with no game time and Ivan overspending.

Thank God Pascoe cleaned it up for us...
Letting Papenhuyzen and Tedesco go and it gets called a clean up.

"Letting them go" is far from the correct terminology...
They're grown men, and made their own decisions.

It's funny when I see this written like it's 2 mistakes... (You must work in the media)
We tried (Really hard) to keep Tedesco - Papanhuyzen was behind Tedesco at the time, Slater is the best there ever was and was retiring... He had an opportunity and took it.

Even if we'd kept Tedesco, In what world would Panahuyzen stay at the club to play Ressies behind him?

However you want to spin it good players don’t want to play at the club. His original pitch was making us a destination club and he failed about as epically as is possible. Sack Pascoe.

Api and Papalii aren't good players?

Isn't it amazing what can be done with a bit of cap space at the right time....

600k for Papali’i isn’t crazy money
How much the Titans paying for their marquee Back Rower,
What about the Cows - What are they paying Leilua next year?
Sharks have got McInness on 500k...

The money for we paid Papalii isn't a bargain, But it could easily be much, much more....
And as our first marquee signing in what.... At least 6 Years, I think it's a very clever deal.

I'd almost pay that for his kick chase...

Hang on, You said good players "don't want" to play at the club,

Now you're saying what exactly ?
- They do want to play at the club but we have to pay overs...
