Stop the Excuses and Become a Member

Everyone on here crying poor seems to be able to hook up to the internet.

LOL

I have a car and I pay for rego & petrol…..what a luxury, beats the bus I spose but those walking probably look at those on the bus with envy
I have lights and gas, pay for them too....feel so privileged not bumping into the walls in the dark

Theres always someone with more, Im sure you can find a team with less too Juddy, any sport'll do

Luxury! In order to pay for membership and attend games I need to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work …

And you lot call yourselves real supporters ...

e.

I would like to thank McDonalds Australia for the free wifi service that they provide … Enables POOR sods
like Snoddy a voice in that otherwise affluent stratosphere known commonly as the world wide web.

As I said last time you had this rant Fraz it becomes an expensive trip for us rural interstaters especially if/when we don't have anyone we know that lives in Sydney

If we come to a Friday game ( due to the fact they only have direct flights from Sydney to home on Fridays and then Monday) I have 4 return tickets from Gladstone to Sydney which even if I get in early enough and book will cost between $1000-$1200

Then I'm guessing to get a 2 bedroom room for 3 days will be around $400 Throw in the price of membership for the out of towners for 4 and thats another $480

Throw in meals for that time period , taxis and doing some looking around (if you think I will be cooped up with 2 kids for 3 days in the unit with 2 kids 😱pen_mouth: ) I'm looking at easy $2500

Now for me I'm lucky , I'm reasonably well off and thats not going to hurt too much

But if they dealt up some of the crap they did like the Roosters performance of last year Happy will be the bloke they are arresting for trying to knock out the playing and coaching staff and Mrs Happy will be trying to knock out Happy for wasting $2500

PS One Eyed loved the Monty Python reference :roll

Why can’t we sell out every single game no matter where it is like they do in all 3 tiers of the English Football Leagues?

You obviously don't watch much football outside of the Premier League. Plenty of people dressed as seats at those games mate, but when they get promoted it's a different story. Worldwide and in any code, everyone loves a winner.

For me and my dad I think next year will be our 6th year in a row as members and we joined my brother up for next year too

Thats probably about right… It usually cost me a total of $1200 to get to a game once you factor in Flights, Hire Cars, Accommodation, Membership/Game & Expenses [mainly beers]!

Poor old Luton Town… From the top flight down to the conference in 20 years... I'm assuming Frazer is talking about the non-EPL leagues? Some of those League 2 grounds have capacities in 4 figures

Like it or not Frazer, memberships are usually related to on field performances. 2012 was an absolute shocker of a season for us and you cant blame people for being a bit hesitant.

We have supporters all over the country as well…quite a few on here live overseas...I am staying at Cairns for nearly the entire year in 2013\. I'll try and make a couple of games but a membership is not in my plans.

Next years membership to include pocket mirrors, so some of the real supporters can have a good look at themselves.

They already do Maniac , and tissues for their issues

As much as I disagree with the OP, I do think it is a good idea to support the club by being a member.

Because I am an out of towner, but pretty busy and not always able to commit to game days I just get the cheaper package so that if I can't make a game it is no big deal.

This allows me to support the club but choose when and where I go to matches.

Perhaps they should have say a $50 membership that doesn't include tickets, that way we can show support for Wests Tigers without the hassles and financial constraints that stop it from being an option for some?

Non Ticketed memberships start at $70\. Im sure most people could budget for that.

A lot of people live week to week. A membership might not be as high a priority as feeding their kids
