Outside of the 2005 grand final, I’ve never enjoyed a game more. We beat everything tonight. We beat a great team, we beat a milestone occasion, we beat a sin binning, we beat Melbourne coming back, we beat the worst and most biased refereeing ever seen. We have a winning team.

Come on - sell out at Campbelltown next Friday night!!

finch is such a tool, just admit the best team won!!!!

I thought I heard Finch say after the Brooks' try that the Tigers deserved to win.

When he was interviewing smith he was try to make out mistakes by the storm and not the forced errors by us was the difference. To smiths credit he put him straight.

Smith was very complimentary towards the tigers in the post-match presser. He wasn't making excuses - credit to him.

Didn't have a bad word to say about us in the press conference.

Shhhh! Don't tell Fade to Black, he might actually start to like him!

Iam with you Steve, this was all about guts and than more guts. So good to see a game that every inch is to die for. Old fashion football…love it

I loved Esan giving Munster a gob full when he forced him into touch in goal.
Pure magic.

Don’t want to get ahead of ourselves but we’ve been waiting a long time for a hard edged team. I’m thinking the wait is over!!

Yeah Happy exact opposites . Based on defence and winning 10-8 rather than 32-30.

They just wore then down tonight with defence and had still had the energy to finish them off at the end of the game. We have never been able to do that before so am positive that when this horror first 6 games finishes we can focus more on attach against the less fancied sides. Until then just keep grinding them into the dust and with our current roster we should be able to keep that momentum going. If packer or mats goes down we have sue grant or Felise to fill the gap. If Lawrence Rochow or Taylor we have MCK , Aloiai or Sirro. And don’t forget we also have Liddle as cover for the 2 current hookers .

I suspect Munster inspires that type of response.

It was also good to see how keen Esan was to work together with Dave.

The icing on the cake for this game would have been someone decapitating Munster for his effort on Kev.

It's inspiring but sad at the same time when you recognise that these are probably two of the most complete defensive efforts this club has ever conjured up.

Well I’m glad to say that I had picked this one wrong. Didn’t really think we could follow up the effort of last week.
So I’m just reading all your comments and well and truly celebrating tonight’s effort by this team.
Yes we are building something from the foundations “the defence”.
Everyone supporting each other and not giving an inch.
Very very proud and congratulations to the team, the coaching staff and us the true (patient) fans.
We just take it one week at the time and if we produce that effort consistently then results will come our way ….. maybe earlier than we all thought possible.
Now I can go to bed. Good night all!

Let me put this win into perspective.
We won the game whilst conceding 18 penalties. The most for a winning side to concede in NRL history.
We did it against the Melbourne Storm, the reigning premiers.
In Melbourne.
Celebrating Slater's 300th.
With Slater and Cam and the rest of their squad full of rep players.
Without Tui, Reynolds or Liddle.
After beating the Roosters.

We held the two competition favourites to two tries.

I wasn’t planning on going to Cambo next Friday, but now am having second thoughts

Same. I bought a Leichhardt/ANZ membership just because Campbelltown is hard to get to but I’ll be there for sure!!

How good was Thompson reads of the storm, was everywhere

Agree with Thompson and Nofo both doing the job it will make it difficul% for Tui to get back in the side, especially as we are limiting the opposition’s opportun6ies by constantly resetting the play from sideline kicks and giving our edgedefences time to also reset

Replay is back on now

Do we need to be concerned about seeing Elijah having his hammy strapped with about 8 minutes to go

Other question , was Naiqama called off side by the ref when he could of dived on the grubber with about 8 minutes left in the 1st half ??
