Stuart on Farah and Sheens

To summarise.

Why is Ricky blowing up about Sheens but listened intently to Bennett?

Every club coach has a duty to talk up their best players for rep duties

Why is he writing newspaper articles every other week?

Calling a player not up to Origin is a dumb move almost a month out from the first game

Farah should be the NSW hooker (I assume this is taking into account Buderus' injury)

Christ, Gordon Tallis making sense, that should tell you all you need to know about the muppets in charge of NSW.

There is clearly an agenda against Farah from people in the NSWRL and the media who matter. This is just ridiculous.

Simply put, if Bozo doesn't like you, you haven't got a hope in high hell.

But why is what I would like to know?

Do they think because he is an attacking player he can't defend? He is a far better tackler than Ennis.

Do they think he is soft? He has proven he is one of the toughest players in the game over a long period of time.

Has he pissed someone important off?

It it because he doesn't like to hit the piss every week like the "good old days"?

It is because he has a successful business? It it because of his background?

Something is seriously up.

I reckon it's a lot of what you've put forward there HT.

Cameron Smith said some very kind words about Farah in this afternoons MX paper.

Rates him. Always defends in the line and misses very few tackles. Seemed a bit bemused about people talking Farah down.

Class act Cameron.

Good one, Cameron! This is not the first time he has said good things about Robbie. Perhaps the NSW selectors take his praise of Farah as being an indication that they're friendly, and that he would rather play against him than any other hooker. Stupid thinking, but wouldn't put it past the NSW morons :crazy

I heard Cam Smith interviewed this morning, and he said, several times, that Farah is the in form hooker for NSW and should be selected. Seems everybody but those in charge of selections are in favour of Robbie. :brick:

If there is one player who reminds me personality wise of Farah it is Cameron Smith.

I didn't notice until I started looking closer but Buderus and Ennis both spend more time defending in the halves then they do in the middle, Robbie is the opposite

He made similar comments about Robbie last year as well.

Yeah smith last year said farah was the best candidate for origin and should be selected. I remember the tele talking up how it would fire Ennis up and was sure to be a firey encounter etc. Was definitely no farah v watts firey encounter, and people claim farah can't handle the tough stuff.

Actually the key person "not built for origin"is Stuart, who'se club coaching record at Cronulla & final seasons at Easts hardly qualify him for this prestigous position. He just happened to be available…simply because no club wanted him
On top of that,he makes it very clear that he's less than fully committed to the Blues & that he'd rather be back coaching a club again
He single handedly makes SOO a joke

only read pages 5 and 6 of the thread but agree with pretty much all posts.
for mine, the issue is not whether or not farah should be the hooker (in form or not) but Stuarts petulant article! seriously, it was like a grounded 14 year old had written it. never read anything written by him, but after that i was amazed at the lack of class or dignity shown by Stuart!
i mean (paraphrase) "brilliant idea, thanks einstein.". who writes that in a publication?! what a tool.
also, is he saying that (after 6 straight series defeats, mind you) that no matter who you have chosen as your 'spine' you are going to keep picking them no matter what?! do you pick these guys one year and from then on regardless of how they are playing just keep picking them? qld have had the luxury of doing so given the unquestionable talent they have in these positions and that they have always performed.

wow, stuart has in one article shown himself to look so foolish. havent seen it dignified with a response from sheens (hope he hasnt) and this shows the difference in character between the two.

Latest Poll on the Tele….

Who should be No.9 for the NSW Blues in Origin?

Michael Ennis 26.55% (407 votes)
Robbie Farah 51.53% (790 votes)
Ryan Hinchcliffe 21.92% (336 votes)

Total votes: 1533

Blocker has always been a cranky bugger but I never thought he would not stick up for a Tiger.
A coach is different … but not a player Blocker.

So Bennett has pushed his player, then Sheens and guess what, now Bellamy has publicly pushed Hinchcliffe.
Will we see Ricky serving it to Bellamy in this weekends paper - I don't think so.

Just on Hinchcliffe. He's 27 and what has he done in all that time, bugger all. We all know playing in that melbourne team is easier then any other team and makes good players look great. He's a solid player but just not in the class of Farah who has won a grandfinal, played for City just about every year, played for NSW and Australia, Dally m runner up a couple of times, pretty sure he has even been awarded dally m hooker of the year over Smith (maybe 2005).

The be all and end all should be how Farah overshadowed him in the City Country. Game, set, match: FARAH!

I just posted this on the tele web site…..

The reason why the number 9 jumper is the most hotly contested jumper is because everyone knows that Farah is the obvious choice but Stuart, Roach and co are trying to convince everyone that he's not. It's like someone trying to convince us that 1 + 1 = 3\. Stuart is an embarrassment and Roach should never be allowed to set foot inside Leichhardt Oval again.
