Stupid Channel 9

I am SOOOO CRANKY. Why do stupid Channel 9 assume that everyone living outside the Sydney area is interested in Saints??? I was so looking forward to watching the game at 7.30, I don't think I'll be able to resist listening to it. It's the game of the season and we have to wait to see a delayed telecast?!?!? : Genius effort channel 9

For starters Channel 9 do not own or control WIN - it is a different company altogether.

Secondly its probably not a big shock that a TV station based in Wollongong would prioritise the game played by a team (half) based in Wollongong.

Yeah it sux but if they went with our game there would be a stack of Dragons fans down there complaining.

We've alway been able to get WIN 9 in Sydney, just do a retune of your tv stations, and keep the fingers crossed your aerial can pick up Sydney 9.

You're lucky - we're no chance. Just sent them an email to complain - probably a waste of time, don't know whether anyone at Channel 9 has the intelligence to read it!!

WIN has it's major NSW centres in Dubbo, Orange, Griffith, Wagga, Canberra, Wollongong, Albury, Cooma & Batemans Bay & covers connecting areas around each. It's NSW coverage is from Cobar, [This word has been automatically removed]amble, Coolah in the north to west of Hay to Mt Hotham in Victoria across to the coast.
Thats a lot more than the ruddy gong & all areas are showing dragons/ broncs.

It's a long long while since WIN was just wollongong.

edit - no point in messaging ch9 as WIN TV is a seperate mob who just takes their TV signal feed. Use the link I posted earlier & give win the rocket.

I didn't say it was only in Wollongong I said it is BASED in Wollongong. With all due respect to the other places you name, Wollongong is by far and away their key area.

Here's a simple solution for all the Dragon's supporters in The Shire and The Gong who want to watch the game live - BUY A BLOODY TICKET AND GO TO THE GAME!!!! It's at WIN Stadium for God's sake!

By that logic 9 shouldn't bother showing our game in the Sydney market…

this is why its even more weird that they would show this game live in wollongon considering that is where the game is being played

Except for the fact that it's the game of the season so far and they've been advertising it as the 7.30 game in regional areas all week.

Not according to their own publicity blurb
The WIN Network reaches 42 percent of Australia’s 8.5 million homes and employs over 1400 staff across six states of Australia and the nation’s capital. Broadcasting throughout 27 markets, including its related companies Channel Nine in Adelaide and Perth, WIN’s transmission spans the largest geographical area in the world.

and **regional affiliates** have chosen the Dragons game as the live one.

Therein lies the problem.

To think I was looking forward to tonight. Then some douche has to go do this. I think this happened the time before last when we played on a Friday too.

If it was a Titans/Dragons game I could probably put up with it.

They can play the Dragons game down there, just not on the rest of their regional affiliates which are mostly located nowhere near there at all.

No one cares that 9 and WIN are separate companies, WIN plays 9's product and that's that.

all regional win viewers should send them a 'concerned' email.

select your region then fire away

I've sent a polite, yet strongly worded email but don't expect anything to come of it.

I asked WIN if they could at least play the other game on the digital channel WIN HD, a channel that isn't quite up in this area but coming soon. Channel 80.

I asked that because I doubt they'll change their other WIN programming but this has absolutely ruined my week.

And I don't say that lightly.

well how's this, i get stupid bloody channel win yet 5minutes away from where i live they get normal channel 9.. err

anyone know if there will be a streaming online somwhere? or is that only for fox games
