Success ..the platform of business.

Well forumers we have had a mediocre 2015 to say the least. We have had many discussions related to the club, board ,coaching staff and players,in other threads we have delved into junior developement and player retrenchment….
When you look outside the square and see the many various changes that have happened right throughout the club,is it not a wonder people are throwing their hands up in the air through frustration..
I have sat up and discussed with family and friends on numerous occasions what a possible solution is to all our dissevelled frustration at the club, players and coaches...

The one common denominator as an answer was .....SUCCESS ....when we start winning games and the consistency that JT is trying to get out of this team finally eventuates,we will be more appealing to the fan base, sponsors and high profile NRL players..With success comes the corporate dollar, the fan dollar and other investment dollars.Once we have achieved what we need to,things fall into place easier, everyone is a lot more comfortable in the knowledge that the club and team are doing really well, this all builds confidence within the structure...good business is always built on success and confidence..

I have at times been one of the sternest critics of this club, and when need be,I will critise it again..
However, having said that,we as members and supporters must give this new board, coaching staff and team the chance to become "SUCCESSFUll",it is what is need to become a strong and well aligned business in the future...
If you look back to the SUCCESS of 2005,the following years, all people wanted was, The Tiger colours and kids wanted to play like Benji, that's success in its rawest form...
I will still probably go off the handle at times, but hey that's good old TT...Let's give them the time,if it takes a couple of years so be it,at least we have afforded them that much...

TT if it was only so easy, u say give them 2 years then it fails like it has for the last 10 years then we are back to another group saying give us 2-3 years, it just never ends. we need 5-6 NRL tough players signed for next year or it will continue going around and around for ever. without new blood for next year the kids will be burnt out and we will have to start again. TT thats my rant. lol

yep I agree, success doesn't happen overnight it takes time, patients is the key, just like the stock market you invest your money in for the long term not just for the short term with a band aid solution, you always got to look at the bigger picture, only business minded people and entrepreneurs can see the bigger picture no offence to anyone out there.

bp,you have every right to rant if you so choose, however, you say we need 5/6 NRL tough players,at the moment as Happy said in another thread,we can't afford laming tons let alone decent NRL players…if success does come our way,so will the players, mark my words..once we reach our goal, then everything else will follow, and this is where it is imperative we have very good management...that's why I said to give the new board a chance...cheers bp....

I agree with tt, you got to give the new board a chance to do their thing, I think it was last couple of boads years ago that we gave too many chances that messed everything up.

The team/club doesn't need success to attract good players/sponsors - It needs promise. I don't think many see a whole lot of promise. Potential maybe, but not much more.

WD,please,we have shown more promise in years gone by than probably most clubs..we need success on and off the field and very good management from finance management through to recruitment, once this is achieved we will be on a much better road to being a very strong club…

Patients? We've got plenty of them. Me included. I'm not convinced we have the medical expertise (i.e. coach, staff and board) to save us.

Lol. Looks like business minded people and entrepreneurs can't spell. No offence to anyone out there.

TT, we have no choice but to play the wait and see game.
The best we can do is take it week by week, and hope for the best. Starting with a win on Sunday. 😛ray:

We tripped over success in 2005

Could of been the worst thing that happened to the club , made us think we were on the right road

But had we had better management re. Cap and a board that was stable,we may well have been on the road to success, some very poor decisions from the top level at the club at the time have really put us in the " our hands are tied" situation we now find ourselves in …

Hence we can't afford quality signings and we have a coach who is trying to field a competitive team in the NRL,with what he has got in the current playing ranks, albeit some have and some have not faith in his coaching abilities,he can only work with what he has...

This brings me to the point of what a job Potter had to do,he was not granted the freedom of the decisions JT has at the moment and had very limited resources available to him because of cap and injury problems during his tenure...

These previous years of mis management have caught up with the club now...we have had a huge mess to clean up and we have only hit the tip of the iceberg in my opinion..the club will move in a forward direction,it is now albeit very small steps, putting together a very competitive team with a winning culture and attitude which should go throughout the club, will take time, how long,as long as it takes to get the finances and debts cleared as well as allowing to put money aside so we can afford new gifted signings for the club..
It takes a hell of a lot to get things back to a level playing field after the years of squandering money and opportunities...I honestly think with the new board and some relatively business smart people at the helm,we will over come the hardship we are facing,if we don't see very significant changes and success within two years,I think the club will then become a lost cause....

Whilst I do agree that success doesn't happen overnight (in the case of Wests Tigers), many clubs before us (most recently Roosters, Canterbury) have finished wooden spooners one year and gone on to play grand finals the next… Manly looked headed down the path of a rebuilding phase, but have since recruited incredibly well for next year. We have had four terrible years of finishing in the bottom 4, but have no recruitment to show of it. Key word here is RECRUITMENT. Wests Tigers need to learn how to do it and put a lid on the hype on some of our juniors.

lol yeah cant spell.

Guys….success is not the platform of business...it is a by-product of the design and implementation of processes and strategies by managers who understand how to take the dynamic capabilities of their resources within the organisation and turn them into weapons that can secure competitive advantage in the market.

yeah that's what I'm trying to say, success is only a by product or it comes after if everything is done right, and it definitely wont happen overnight or a couple months, it just takes a bit of time.
