Sugarcoated win

Tigerdon makes a very good point that our defence against the cowboys was good. Here in Qld, article in Courier Mail on Friday (about page 20 because first 19 pages is full of Bronco's based crap)indicates that Cowboys lost game and Tigers did not win it. The first mistake in the match was a common thread throughout the entire game. Gavin Cooper drops ball but only because he had 3 tigers players up his ribs as he received ball. Its our defence that made for the Cowboys errors. Stay on the bus and give the boys credit for their efforts and spirit. I am loving this new culture that Ivan is developing.

Could be….. our maybe the Cows win over the Panfers the week before was Sugarcoated...

They didn't play a better team on Thursday - so nobody knows and nobody ever will.
 
I noticed ET falling off a lot of tackles and being easily beaten. Very unusual. I am not sure if he is injured, his minutes appeared to be well down
 
The penalties at opportunistic times that allowed the pressure off the Cowboys didn't help our cause. Our attack down the key was unreal in the first half and should have been ahead by a lot more.

We defended multiple sets on our line in the first half with origin halves.

Yes the spirit and effort was there in defence. Having two strong leaders out there in Packer and Lawrence driving this culture has been infectious.
Wherever the Cowboys shifted the ball we had numbers there. The smaller players like Brooks, Thompson and Benji didn't stop all night. Rochow is constantly involved in defence as well.
We are not a star studded team or well oiled machine. It's still a new side that is putting in the effort.
After our first couple of win, people where saying the Tigers won't be able to sustain that effort. Well it's Round 10 and the players are still putting in. That was a big win for us.
As far a Sugercoating the win. I don't think Ivan/the players or fans are thinking we are playing perfect football or are getting too far ahead of our selves. But if the scrabble is as good as it was on Thursday night we are going to be right in the game up until the final few minutes.

They've got half the queensland origin side and Taumololo. But they're not in good form, but they are most definitely a quality side with quality players.

Won't be surprised in the least if the Cowbees find a way into the Top 8 still

Might have 2/3 players involved in SOO , Cooper possibly , Morgan off the bench and Scott possibly off the bench as well
