Supporter strike

Instead of striking
how about we thrown a bet at the top dogs , they pick the team so let’s see if they are solid enough to back it
how about
Tim sheens sir , I offer you and your selections and assistants
13 points head start this week at $ 1000 dollars
my bet is
you will loose
you will lose by more than 13 points flat $ 1000 bet
and I would be happy to back this bet to
Tim , Benji , Robbie , Furner
thats $ 1000 per person , they would not take the bet
why , very simple I would be $ 4 k up after the game

You both are over reacting.
Us fans and supporters do raise our concerns and displeasure.
None of us are saying failure is ok.
What you guys are failing to acknowledge is we have made major changes to our roster. And many had expected instant results.
I’m happy we recruited well this season and I will take that win for now.
Once the team has settled, they will improve and start winning.
A spot on post. Beware the wounded tiger!!!!!

It's pretty clear. If fans are posting here and they're generally feeling pretty negative about the team they obviously want to blow off steam with fans who are feeling equally as disenfranchised?
Yeah but that doesn't explain why they also don't watch footy on the weekend.

I wouldn't have much to talk about I saw was the results, but not the actual footy being played.

Yes, this is the standard 'explanation' (excuse?) our succession of coaches has given after each rebuild. The unfortunate truth our new coaching team has to face, is that this year another team has come along, built from the ground up, that has not performed as abysmally as ours. They haven't needed to 'settle'.
The rug has been pulled out from under that little dodge and accountability in the form of a dolphin is staring Tim in the face.

Brooks needs time away from FG to get his confidence back. He was never a rep level player and, without confidence, he becomes very sloppy and takes the wrong option even more than usual.

I don't go on strike, I just lose interest because, even worse than losing, the Tigers have gone from being entertainers to being the most boring club to watch. I had more fun during the 9th Era, when the Tigers were sometimes flogged but also sometimes flogged other teams. The only bummer was the inevitable end-of-season choke to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Yeh would be under so much pressure. He really needs a start at a new club.

Issue is you are adding 2023 to the list of failures of the last decade. You fail to see the overhaul in our roster, change in coaching staff.
To put it in perspective, doggies recruited every high profile player and his dog yet they failed to improve that first season.

By no means I’m excusing the failures of the last 11 years, I’m saying we haven’t had good cattle since the Fab 4 band to dismantled.

I will happily take all the criticism when the season wraps up and we finish in the bottom 4. But for now, I’m going to remain optimistic and hopeful and I’d encourage others to try if possible
That would be bottom of the bottom 4!

The 'they need to settle' excuse is and was always bullshit. These are (arguably in some cases) professional footballers playing in the competition with the highest standards in the world for rugby league.

Funny how none of the other teams need a 4-8-12-16 week grace period to 'settle' before becoming a functional football team eh?

Can't really compare us to the Dolphins, they started with a clean slate. We have existing baggage that for around a million financial reasons we didn't want to shift. I also recall plenty of pundits on this forum telling all that would listen the AD was worth throwing the kitchen sink at him.

The time to settle is bogus for sure. If we gave the recruiting keys to some of the supporter base we would be in a real shit state - AD would be Brooks 2 - an overpaid underperformer we can't afford to get rid of.
