I know the referee did not cost the tigers the game, and the performance was abysmal.

But i do think he has preconcieved outcomes in his mind. In any game, theoretically, you should get around 50% of the 50/50 calls. Simple maths.

But this guy made a number of calls last night, especially in the first 20 where the storm were doing their demolition, that allowed them to continue the momentum. There was a Ken Mamaulo play the ball that he adjudged to be incorrect with defenders all over him, crowding him for way too long. The Munster try which was allowed to go on way too long in some wrestling free for all. Then a WT player dragged over near the sideline after a tackle completed.

Im certainly not saying tigers werent poor, but these crucial decisions at crucial moments just allowed the momentum to continue. Any of those calls change and it may have allowed a different start.

Again, i reiterate that the referee wasnt to blame for the performance, but anyone who doesnt think he has preconcieved ideas about teams and outcomes isnt being genuine.

Yes, and he does this in every single game he officiates. He goes in with a favoured team, he lets them break the games neck, and then when the other team is beaten he gives them a couple of square ups to even the stats and cover his tracks… I truly cannot fathom how he had gotten away with it for this long.

Nepotism is the answer and always has been.I have never seen the refereeing ranks as poor as they are now.The only unbiased one is Chech.
The refs have been destroyed by the Sutton mafia and Annesley imo

Without doubt Sutton is a terrible ref but he did not cost us the game last night. Melbourne had all the momentum from the kick off and like with all refs they go with the team on the front foot and not the one retreating with the white flag up. Once again we have to take this result in perspective, Storm put fifty on Souths. They are a great side and the Penrith Storm GF will be a cracker

I saw about 4 passes that were forward in the 1st 20 mins from the Storm that were let go. Touch judges are a waste of league money.
