Just finished talking to a mate at work not known for making things up. He knows Milne as his young bloke is mates with Milne from juniors with chooks and still plays at chooks. His young bloke says that Milne has signed to play with Tigers but doesnt know the details.

Any updates Bula ?

Well the COP is certainly over yet no announcement SG what do u know???

he has his contract offer. He's just doing the right thing by the dragons to give them a chance at reply is my understanding but it's on the back burner until Dugan decides his future. As far as I know from previous Tigers management they usually allow a 21 to 28 day period from when the contract offer is made to a player from another team for that player to decide what he's doing then if nothing is done by the nominated date the contract is revoked.

So if Dugan stays with St George then Milne will probably sign with us?

He's a pretty hot chance to sign anyway. Depends on what dragons can offer. Obviously if Dugan goes they can increase his offer a bit

So if the tigers revoked the contract offer, who do we go after GEORGE JENNINGS maybe ?

Don't think that was invoked in the case of Josh Reynolds..

Under New Management..

That deal happened very quick. Even I didn't catch wind of that one until it was done. Club will treat it as a case by case scenario especially if they have multiple options in the same position. They won't sit on one player for too long. Or should I say they shouldn't sit on one player for too long.

It frustrates the crap out of me watching Moga play for the Broncos knowing they picked him up without any fuss and on bugger all money as a Centre.

How do we miss this type of talent, NRL ready? Are we too focused on the fancy kids of the future and simply forget to count what clubs are holding too much stock?

I think that this is the issue but hopefully we've put this to bed now. We've focussed on bringing through stars. We should be focussed on having a quality squad and if a star comes through then that is like the icing on the cake.

The problem with stars is that they take up so much of the cap that you struggle in recruiting and retaining players that are a level below stars but are quality players.

Just don't rate him. Would prefer they went after Hopoate to play centre.

I reckon Hopoate at centre is a great idea. There are a couple of points I'd make though. He has to play on Sunday and he can't pay too much.

We should go for him though. He is versatile and it looks up one backline spot wherever we are weak.

News today from a poster on the signing and rumours thread is that Dugan has signed with Bulldogs.

How do we miss them to clubs like the Broncos? Really? You're close to the action Watto, you know exactly how it happens.
