Take The Pledge

Sooo 20,000 members
it depends how many they can allocate i guess.
Through my work i will get some box tickets to bankwest hopefully but they are not catered due to covid

interesting from Canberra Times article how the raiders and brumbies are doing it

Both clubs will open a ballot process for members to fill the 1500 seats available. Full-season members will likely get priority treatment and the Raiders and Brumbies expect the allocation to fill within 20 minutes.

The clubs will contact the successful members before detailing the ticketing process. Unsuccessful members will rise up the pecking order for future home games.

Don't bother printing your ticket to the Canberra Raiders or ACT Brumbies' homecoming. You won't need it. And even if you remember to print it, it won't work.

ADVERTISEMENTCONTENT RESUMES ON SCROLL
The new Canberra Stadium will be "a very different experience" than the one we've suffered through over the years. The thrill of winning, the heartbreaking losses and the icy wind will all still be there.

The coronavirus changes will be obvious before you even arrive. Fans will be told they aren't allowed to bring handbags or backpacks to games and tickets will be allocated with your name attached. Raiders and Brumbies attendees told to agree to terms and conditions before they get to the ground for Canberra's live-sport comeback next weekend.

Here's what you can expect when they get to the gate and eventually find their seat for what the ACT governments say will be a "pilot" test for large gatherings in the capital.

WHO GETS TO GO?

Both clubs will open a ballot process for members to fill the 1500 seats available. Full-season members will likely get priority treatment and the Raiders and Brumbies expect the allocation to fill within 20 minutes.

The clubs will contact the successful members before detailing the ticketing process. Unsuccessful members will rise up the pecking order for future home games.

If there are tickets left over, as unlikely as that is, they will be offered to the general public.

The Brumbies have opened a three-day ballot process, which closes on Friday afternoon. The Raiders are expected to follow a similar process, with details to be announced soon.

Any fans who get tickets but have a sniffle or feel sick on game day are being told to stay at home.

ARRIVAL AT THE GROUND
Everything's going digital. Printed tickets will not be accepted at the gate, with fans told to download the tickets on to their mobile phones to minimise touch points at the entrance.

Speaking of the entrance, you will only be able to get into the ground from the eastern side. The western side (the Mal Meninga Stand) is being classified as a "clean zone" for players and officials.

Both games will be "bag-free events", meaning you can't carry a backpack into the venue. This is to minimise the need for security guards to search belongings. There are exceptions to allow for health needs or for people with children.

Small purses will be allowed. But handbags are banned as part of the risk mitigation process.

what you also need to worry about with this ticket ballot is for example i have a family membership of 4 so if my name gets drawn then all 4 of my tickets get to go. To me that does not seem fair it should be if my name gets drawn only 1 of my 4 tickets can go unless subsequent tickets get drawn from my membership.
i enquired as i wanted to pledge 2 tickets and rollover two tickets but this was not allowed so by not allowing this if my membership comes up it is not one ticket they would give me but 4 for the game.

It has to be that way mate, what if the drawn ticket is a kids ticket, are they expected to go by them self?

I rang them it's not a ballet..it's a done by redemption ..you will receive and email to redeem tickets ..put your member number down and those of the additional members you what tickets for..

A family of 4 will redeem 4 tickets... it's once the allocation is exhausted then you won't be able to get a ticket

Soo if you really want to go get in straight away to ensure you get a ticket..if you left it to the day before the game then you probably wont get one

This will happen for the remaining games..

So basically 1st come 1st served, so if you don't have access to the internet when they send the email you are stuffed lol

I highly doubt the allocation will be exhausted straight away...in normal times a 10 to 15K crowd is 50% walk ups at least...

Remenber WT count all types of membership in there numbers..I don't have the exact numbers but I know there are 4500 ticketed members roughly for Lichhardt Oval..I know this as I once enquired to change seats add another seat..

If you add in Bankwest/Cambo the numbers would be around 10K...Full season all 3 grounds...

So yes some will miss out if every single member tries to redeem a ticket..so the earlier you get in the better..

Canberra has 1500 seats for members available guys
Doing a ballot system if you miss out one week you go up the list for next week.

i know rhe club has said first come first served for tigers but i think they have until monday and nothing in writing yet so it may change to a ballot like other clubs

Just annoying that they are implementing a system that disadvantages some members. I'm pledging a good chunk of money and may miss out due to not being able to sit on a computer all day waiting for them to announce what is happening.

So what about membership levels? I’ve paid for (and pledged) two premium reserved seats. Do I get premium reserved seating or could I be in row ZZ?

There are social distancing measures in place so basically the whole allocation is like GA..you wont get your normal seat but allocated in a row..

Gee whizz..this is not the Clubs fault and unprecedented times..they are moving games to allow the largest amount of people to go...

You also can change your pledge even if you already have and go for option 3..roll over into 2021....

Who knows mate, all that is needed is a little communication.

You know they have and put out FAQ that explain it on the website...

I rang them to ask about other stuff and to get clarification...

If you are still uncertain just give them a call..they will help you..

Not sure what the ‘Gee whizz’ is all about. Simply asking how they are going to allocate the tickets. How am I expected to scream at Nofoaluma when he runs infield from row ZZ?
Have no interest in changing my pledge. I’ll be there (as always) if I’m given a ticket. I’ve also applauded the club on their ground change.
You do realise that not everything the WestsTigers do is first rate and they are not beyond scrutiny hey?

I emailed them and got a response of we will release info on Monday, I've also emailed about the fact that I don't receive membership emails anymore so probably won't get that information anyway.

In this case - nothing. I didn’t suggest they did. I’m just wondering how I’ll be allocated a ticket.

My comment to you is based on your ever so slight tendency to leap to their defence when they are criticised. But mostly I think that’s a good thing Geo.

Lucky I’m a Brooks and Nofa fan - you’d be hunting me down otherwise ?

Nothing will be in writing until Monday the club do not know yet what the allocatuon is hence they are not putting it up.
Canberra a 25,000 stadium has 1500 members attending

I don't think it is anything wrong as such, but providing information on how the seating allocation will work, numbers of tickets they are likely to have in comparison to membership is information that is reasonable to enquire about and discuss before the pledge option cutoff.

There is not information about how they will determine who will get tickets in that faq.

Too late...

Well dogs are one of our bogey teams, Injuries don't help however if we want to have a crack at making the 8 this year its a game we have to Win.

In relation to the pledge it's good to see that the club finally gave some options, congratulations forum members making there comments know both positive and negative i think your comments could have influenced the option for 2021.

Personally i rolled over my Membership (Option 3) to 2021 rather than have option 1 automatically selected. I hope those that purchased packages are fairly compensated and able to attend games.

They need to corporates to be allocated first hence they dont know.
i would be suprised if it doesnt work out that you get a ticket one week and if you miss out you go up the list for the next week
Canberra
Parramatta
Penrith
are all doung ballots
