Take The Pledge

I wish the team would pledge not to put in crap performances every second game they play, but I guess that’s never gonna happen.

That must mean we are up for a good game againsy Wickys Waiders ![images.jpeg](/assets/uploads/files/1591876639759-images.jpeg)

I pledged the money. I’d already written the money off. For me membership is an expression of financial support. Usually I can’t get to as many games as my membership would otherwise allow.

I do find it interesting how different people view a membership. I see it as season tickets and that is it. I do understand that people want to support the club but when I want to financially support the club I do so through the Wests Tigers Foundation as that is then tax deductible.

i bought season tickets not a membership and to date i have not been able to use my 4 seqson tickets i know not the clubs fault but they should look after members better and work out how to get members into games.

Yeah, it can be a lot of money. Mine were about $1100

its alot cochise for sew.ason tickets but it is great beibg at the games.
i think the nrl needs to work out ig its a tigers home game then tigers member should be allowed in and vice versa if its dogs home game then only dogs members can attend the game that way all us members and the sponsors can go

Yeah I don't view them as memberships either, they are 100% season tickets. Membership to me implies more than we receive.

I have not pledged my membership and I was taken back a bit my the email. I would have thought after parting with over 400.00 that my current membership would automatically get me into a home game if fans were allowed back into the ground. I would also be very upset if it came down to a ballot allocation and people who pledged got preferential treatment.

Being a self funded retiree who got not one cent from the government in assistance, and had my nest egg drop by around 25%, I am not really in a position to pledge 400 bucks

I love having the same seats and sitting around the same people for years on end. The section I sit in a leichhardt has turned into a real family atmosphere as the people who have been sitting there have all started having kids. I love the relationships I have been able to develop with the people around me through years of supporting the club and that builds the connection to the club to me. That is worth what I pay for my season tickets and why I pledged for this year.

I will have buckleys chance of seeing any games live this year because of my circumstances, but I still paid for my out of town membership(adult $65) for this year...if I do get the chance I will just line up at the gates and hope I can get in..I can see the concern of the many members who have paid for seating, lets hope the club gets it right and works out a fair outcome for all...

G'day @TrueTiger I renewed my $65 Out Of Town Membership as soon as Covid-19 stopped play in the N.R.L. early this year.
I have also donated 2 backpack beds for the homeless.... about $100 to the people of Indonesian when the tsunami hit a few years back....just recently about $100 to various Bush Fire Relief charities as well as other smaller amounts to charities over the years.
But WOW!!! thats nuthin compared to what @supercoach @Sully @cochise and @Jedi_Tiger have donated in a time of crisis in one lump sum this year to help keep Our Wests Tigers afloat, and I am sure there are many more Wests Tigers supporters that have shown the same generosity as the 4 dudes i have already mentioned.
Very well done gentlemen

I find it gives me less angst stepping away from membership & letting it go... It's a bit like a divorce.... Casual now from a distance much easier.
Stopped caring as much as I did a few years back now

I pledged my son's and my memberships a while back but haven't seen any recent emails about it.
I never received the USB sticks that they said would be coming later but have managed to use one of the $30 vouchers to put towards a Heritage jersey. I don't really expect to get anything else from the club this year.
As a long time Tigers supporter....................."there's always next year"

Yeah I don't view them as memberships either, they are 100% season tickets. Membership to me implies more than we receive.

It's pretty smart by clubs. They eliminated football memberships so fans can't have a say on the running of a club and can't see what they are doing with the finances. Then they call the season tickets 'memberships' to make the fans feel important but if any games get cancelled they don't have to refund the money because it's actually a membership you bought, not a ticket to the game.

Very clever.

Marketing at it's finest.....I know clubs need to survive but don't play the games....just be honest about things and not blow smoke up our patooties

I don't understand why you continue to post about how much less you care.

I'm not criticising you, it's just that you are on here a lot for someone who doesn't care as much; you must have been bananas obsessed with Tigers back then if this is your "less".
