Take your pick of rorts against us over the years

You guys have not even mentioned the worst one.

In 2004 Souths scored a Golden point when the refs failed to blow for halftime after 5 minutes.

They just kept playing to the same end and Souths got a field goal about 8 minutes in.

Um… You might need to read through the above posts again...

Sorry saw you mentioned it after going back

The other major rort is how we continue to believe that everything one day will be OK

Its like we are told that if we pay our membership a Nigerian Heiress / Princess will suddenly appear with $5 million , a brewery , a boat and she will change the baits in the crab pots

14 man try , which one was that FTB ??

I think it was 2004 at Campbelltown. Webcke was injured on halfway, Brisbane were attacking our line and brought corey Parker on to replace webcke (who was still on the field). Parker actually score as he came on out wide and created an overlap. Brisbane won by 8 (however I think the scores may have been even or only 2 in it at the time).

The NRL docked Brisbane of the points and then unbelievably later in the year gave them back to them…

The worst I've ever felt ripped off by a ref was against Canberra in Canberra in 2004\. Steve Clarke lost total control and gave what I believe to be the most disgusting one eyed officiating performance ever. We lost the penalty count 13-4 (we got 2 in the final 2 mins).

Clarke was dropped for the rest of the year after this.

Yeah that was the game fergiefurr. Pretty sure the NRL didn't dock the Broncos of any points at any stage though because they deemed that Webcke wasn't directly involved in the play. Typical. The ref's and NRL heirachy just make up the rules to suit themselves when it comes to WT.

I don't know why but one disallowed try that sticks in my brain was when benji flicked a pass that lead to a try but in the interim got into a scuffle with Pearce and was disallowed. I remember being really annoyed.

That game in the finals against the Roosters a few years back where that player crawled through the scrum and grabbed the ball close to the tryline …what a shocker, I don't think the club has beaten the roosters ever since, we've never recovered from the shock of it all

89 grand final,Balmain forward Bruce Mcguire penalised for a sheppard behind a off side Canberra forward, the Raiders soon score and the rest is history, thanks Harrigan…!

Fergie it was actually Shayne Hayne refereeing us that night down in Canberra with the count ending up 13-3\. Was the beginning of my hate for Shane Hayne.
As you say it was the most biased officiating you are ever likely to see.
I was talking to Scott Sattler at an after match function towards the end of 2004 and asked him about that game and he said he and Darren Senter towards the end of the game had given up questioning Hayne on his decisions as it was clear he was only penalising one team. Said Sheens was absolutely filthy after the match.

Which was bizarre given a massive gap opened up due to the extra player coming on.

I remember listening to this game on ABC and they were just gobsmacked by how biased Hayne was. Just bizarre.

Just you wait happy, we're going to be a real player in the player market in 2021

That's right it was Hayne. I've never seen anything like it. I remember Clinton Shifcoske laughing when the raiders got about their 10th penalty In a row. 13-1 penalty count against a team in the 77th minute. I'd be surprised if that's ever happened previously in the NRL. Even raiders fans on LU were saying how one sided it was.

Graeme O'Grady penalised for being offside after regathering his own kick and scoring in the 1978 final.

still burns my guts to this day, Hartley :smiling_imp: the ref, its a damn shame no player belted him 😛ray: and knocked him out.

One of our own Chris Heighningon not falling on the ball during our semi in 2010\. Cost us a GF spot the idiot.

Yes, Heighno fiddled around for what felt like an eternity at the base of the scrum, but then the Roosters front row burst through the scrum offside and grabbed the ball. Should have been a penalty to us, but two plays later Anasta, of all people, kicked a field goal sending the game into golden point.

What was the game a couple years back where we lost at the death at Leichhardt, where the ref didn't realise the time was up? They then blamed the ground clock…
