Personally I'm not a member of Wests Ashfield anymore so I accept that my opinion on how they run their business is irrelevant and meaningless.

I don’t live in the area so don’t need to be a member. My association is through their involvement in the footy club, which I am a member of. Well a ticket holder technically I guess.

I don’t care how they go about attracting gambling addicts or lovers of overpriced pizza but I do care that they don’t have a bloody clue how to run a professional rugby league club.

That seems more relevant to me.

99.9% of people who identify as Wests supporters would never have visited this site.
When you look at other larger social media sites that casual supporters visit, like Facebook, they generally couldn't give a rats and just want to watch footy.

It's easy to go down the forum rabbit hole and convince ourselves that the whole of the football world agrees with the general thoughts of this forum

That equates to fan base forums at every club.

A forum is only ever representative of the people who post on it.
But it is clear that noise from this club is well reported right across the NRL landscape and you would have to be buried in a bunker since 2005 to not know that this club is not considered a well run organization - and not just among our fans.

You aren't stating anything most don't ready know.
I worked with many WTs supporters... Casuals... Non- members who didn't even know of online supporter groups... Bar one.
Though they often went to games.
I'd say your gold diamond & platinum member paying thousands a year want exactly what the casual non member that might get to one two or no games a years... An end to the BS Magpies Balmain crap

I think he’s probably been given a KPI around player discipline off field too. The broncs have dominated the news cycle in that regard lately.

I’m going to be watching the Bronocs a lot closer this year than I normally do… Ithey are in for an intersting season…. I think their playing group may clash with Madge’s style

Im amazed at the people who come on here and shoot down those who are trying to improve the WT. They sit on the sidelines, offer no alternative besides the status quo.

It's very obvious to me why we are losers perenally. People are even defending the practices resonating from our organisation that has led to 3 spoons. We deserve to be losers.

Unfortunately HBG board are appearing hostile and it therefore needs a ground-swell approach. The rewind of the review and the ousting of those who were trying to implement it means that any "discussions" are going to be a dead end.

It didn't need to get to this. I'm sure most are frustrated that it has. Such a large division between us on here.

Unfortunately Cochise many of the posters on here appear to be Balmain affiliated in some way, and anti Wests Ashfield/Western Suburbs.

If you happen to post anything supporting Wests Ashfield/Western Suburbs you are intimidated by posters who think they own the forum.

Mate it would be interesting to know how Wests Tigers supporters in the south west of Sydney feel about all of this.

I do think all of wests Tigrers demographic of supporters should come together as one as Wests Tigers members and supporters. But I think the way some members of this forum are causing division within Wests Tigers as a united club.

Why does anybody support Wests or Balmain though? Do they not have an NRL Team to support?

This is the core of the problem - this tightly holding onto the past thing that some seem to have.
No dramas remembering where you came from. My family was originally from Balmain so I was born into it and it holds a special place in my heart along with my Number 8 jersey as a kid given Pearcey was my favourite player growing up, but those days are gone. I support the Wests Tigers and have done for half my life so to be In a continual argument around Magpies or Tigers makes no sense to me.

I don’t think people give a toss which side of the merger you came from but get the shits having to continually justify not being against either Wests or Balmain.
