Mate, anybody impartial 2 all of this would think you're
writing some stuff you do on purpose to agitate...

particularly when certain members ask you straight
forward questions — you never reply back, only resort
to bringing up strawmans & posts from months ago
(before the mood shifted). You're being irresponsible
The last thing I need or want to do is agitate, I see enough of that when I put our clothes in the washing machine.
I have read and studied then read again the rules and regulations of the WTF and I couldn't find any reference to "answer the question. You can't handle the truth"
Maybe the questions I haven't answered are from the posters I have had on IGNORE, but I don't have anyone on ignore atm....not even Cochise😁.
Maybe I had you on ignore and that is why you haven't received a reply to some of your posts.
My apologies for making you feel I was being irresponsible Kaito.

Wests Tigers owners ban long-term director for eight years as board members learn fate

Three board members at the owners of the Wests Tigers have been sensationally suspended with one long-term director banned for eight years as legal retaliation is set to engulf the club.

Three board members at the owners of the Wests Tigers have been sensationally suspended with one long-term director banned for eight years.
It can be revealed that Rick Wayde, Tony Andreacchio and David Gilbert were told of their fate on New Year’s Eve by the Holman Barnes Group with their bans now formalised after they were suspended in November.

Wayde has been banned for eight years, Andreacchio (six) whilst Gilbert has a six-month suspension.

It is understood the trio are now exploring their legal rights and are expected to challenge the decision.

“The penalties are ridiculous,” Wayde said. “It indicates from November 6 from when they issued the notice that their preconceived view was that we were guilty. They wanted to come up with that finding.

Rick Wayde (R) with former Wests Tigers chairman Lee Hagipantelis.
“The reason it has taken so long is there are many flaws in their procedures.”

The trio were first sanctioned in November where they were banned from entering “the club’s bars, restaurants, gyms, archives and carpark across all three Holman Barnes Group venues”.

The board members have been at loggerheads since a review into the Wests Tigers last year. Andreacchio was the chair of the Holman Barnes Group but was overthrown by Julie Romero in March and led to a balance of power shift amongst the owners of the Tigers.

The Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority may be brought in to stop the bitter dispute now engulfing the warring parties.

MORE TO COME ...

God help us all if instead of using our energy to argue amongst each other we come together. Imagine the message that sends to the rich and privelaged. Otherwise they win. Reading this forum. Feeding themselves on our blood.

Is Rick with us or against us? Is this good or bad news? I know he was a magpie. Before. What a dick if he doesn't align with Wests Tigers. Also does Romero follow football? Or just lining her pockets? I guess my question is - is this good or bad news for us - the fans? I mean no fans - team is dead.

The three that have been booted ALL unanimously supported the implementation of the review findings. Those who voted to be rid of them did not. It is that simple. And no Wests Tigers fan can do ANYTHING about it (except sign the petition and back us in our fight).

The architects of the Wests Tigers review banned for a combined 15 years

The three Holman Barnes Group directors who were the driving force behind the independent review that forced significant change at the Wests Tigers have been banned by the club’s majority owner for almost 15 years combined.

Tony Andreacchio, Rick Wayde and David Gilbert were all hit with significant bans on New Year’s Eve for a range of alleged misdemeanours dating back several years.

Board members at the HBG – which runs the rich and powerful Wests Ashfield club and is also the majority owner of the Wests Tigers– have been at loggerheads since an external review of Wests Tigers operations was conducted last year after the side’s second successive last-placed finish.

Andreacchio, Wayde and Gilbert were the chief instigators of the review, which was conducted by businessman Gary Barnier and former NRL chief financial officer Tony Crawford.

Their banishment throws into doubt whether the recommendations of the Barnier-Crawford report will now be implemented in their entirety.

On Wednesday, Wayde and Andreacchio both expressed dismay at their predicament.

“The tragedy is the club is in great shape through the work of the CEO and the executive team. The remaining directors are only worried about self-interest and winding back the review which is a problem for the Wests Tigers,” Wayde said.

“In the short-term, Shane Richardson and Barry O’Farrell are doing remarkable despite the interruptions. If the Gang of Four get away with this movement, they’ll be intruding even more. That’s the major concern for the Tigers.

“I fear that already they will be interfering with the appointment of the independent directors.”

“This is clearly a star chamber decision,” Andreacchio said.

“How can 18 people in a 30,000 membership have this much power? Rick Wayde and I are the only two elected by the membership and we’ve been discarded by the star chamber.”

Some of the recommendations of the review have already been adopted, including that Shane Richardson should replace Justin Pascoe as Wests Tigers CEO and Barry O’Farrell should replace Lee Hagipantelis as Wests Tigers chairman.

O’Farrell was subsequently asked by the HBG to reapply for his position although sources with knowledge of the situation talking on the condition of anonymity due to confidentiality said he was on the verge of being reappointed.

“We are launching this action because we do not have faith in the current governance of the majority shareholder of the Wests Tigers, the Holman Barnes Group (HBG),” the petition statement said.

“This action commenced after the HBG board continued to drag its feet over introducing and adopting the full recommendations from the 2023 external review into the governance of the Wests Tigers.”

The banning of Andreacchio, Wayde and Gilbert related to a range of alleged misdemeanours dating back several years, including “a number of whistle-blower disclosures and complaints”, according to the disciplinary committee findings obtained by this masthead.

He has also been asked to undertake an anger management course as a prerequisite for a potential return in eight years’ time.

Former HBG chairman Andreacchio, who also previously served on the Wests Tigers board, has been hit with a six-year ban. Gilbert has been issued a six-month ban.

While a number of allegations against Wayde were unsubstantiated, the disciplinary committee found that:

  • He engaged in unreasonable conduct towards a fellow director at a board meeting, including personal attacks against the person resulting in requests by other attendees for him to “back off”;
  • He engaged in intimidatory, threatening and/or otherwise unreasonable conduct towards other board members, both alone and acting in concert with Andreacchio and Gilbert, in an attempt to coerce the board members into supporting Andreacchio to continue as chair;
  • He made comments to a fellow director to suggest he was personally responsible for Andreacchio’s defeat in the board election. Wayde is alleged to have said: “You’ve got to be joking. You don’t know how bad your name is at Wests Tigers” after learning of a fellow HBG director’s appointment onto the Wests Tigers board.
Allegations against Andreacchio, who has also been asked to undertake an anger management course, include:

  • That he yelled at a fellow HBG director, calling him a “f---ing suck” approximately 10 times in front of other board members in an aggressive manner. Andreacchio repeated the comments later on despite being told words to the effect, “You can’t do this”, “Enough’s enough, we’re
    one team. Calm down”;
  • That he allegedly became red in the face and made abusive comments to a fellow director in a threatening tone;
  • That while waiting for a taxi after a function for the West Tigers launch of the 2024 NRL season he approached a fellow director and stood close to him and made a comment to the effect: “You f----- softie”;
  • That at an HBG board meeting last September he engaged in aggressive behaviour towards a fellow director, calling him a “parrot” in a raised voice
https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/ex...gers-civil-war-laid-bare-20241223-p5l0eb.html

The allegation against Gilbert was in relation to comments and actions made to a fellow director concerning his allegiances on the board.

The banned trio fell out of favour after current HBG chair Julie Romero led a coup in March which overthrew Andreacchio at the helm of the HBG board. Documents recently obtained by this masthead show that Romero had previously expressed “grave concerns” about the review.

The documents and emails also showed that Romero threatened legal action against Tigers chairman O’Farrell should he hold a Tigers board meeting without her blessing.

You know. If not a single Wests Tigers fan showed up to a game - the message would be loud and clear. But some of us disguised as humans yet we are sheep.

Is Rick with us or against us? Is this good or bad news? I know he was a magpie. Before. What a dick if he doesn't align with Wests Tigers. Also does Romero follow football? Are you serious? Why would you call someone a dick when you don't know if he's guilty or not. For the record he's pro WT. A cautionary word to you, ignorance isn't always bliss.

How on earth is this sort of detailed information about the allegations being leaked? Poor form for all involved.

Wayde must have done something very dodgy to get 8 years if the blow-ups outlined above are a significant part of the cause. Disagreements in meetings like this happen all the time and do not warrant suspension and expulsion imo.

From a fans POV, it seems bigger actions than the petition need to be taken, although we'll see how many signatures we end up with. Time to go, Romero!

My grammar was fine dipstick. And you were ignorant not to even try to find out where Rick Wayde stood in relation to Wests Tigers. There are plenty of posts in the forum where Wayde’s position was made clear. Your unintelligent comments become boring after a while.

I think the whole board should go other then perhaps Dave Gilbert given his experience and qualifications. Have no issue with Wayde or Andriaccho losing their board spots in an election and Burgess, Romero etc too of course. Start fresh for HBG.

I believe the next HBG AGM should be in March - anyone and everyone who has been a social member for at least 3 years is eligible to attend. We should ensure as many as possible are their

Sorry to be political on New Year's but there's been an extraordinary and concerning development at Wests Tigers today that I want to update you about.
There's 7 members of Wests Ashfield (Holman Barnes Group) Board. They are the majority shareholder of Wests Tigers.

I've just discovered that last night, on New Year's Eve, 4 of the 7 board members issued directions to suspended the other 3 directors from the club from their roles, for periods of up to 8 years.

This is bizarre and out of keeping with basic corporate governance standards.

Loyal and long suffering Wests Tigers fans deserve better than this.

Our team is competing in the most professional rugby league competition on earth.
But our head office continually operates like a volunteer committee for a park footy team.

Petty and short sighted governance of Wests Tigers has been holding our Club back for far too long.
I'm calling for the NSW Government to intervene to fix the undemocratic and seemingly improper governance of the Holman Barnes Group.

That's what the fans want, and that is what's needed for Wests Tigers to survive and thrive.

The current system, in which tens of thousands of members of Wests Ashfield have no real democratic say at all, is improper and unjustifiableh.

We've finally got things moving in the right direction on the football field.
Tigers fans can't afford for backroom brawling to undermine our football team's long-awaited recovery in 2025.

So weak and corrupt. Is this more severe than the alleged sexual harassment from another director? Hell no.

Can also greatly sympathise with ricks outbursts. Bloke must be so frustrated with this mob.
