Gould wanted the Fainu bros and didn't get them. You could sense buyer's remorse during commentary when he spoke about Latu Fainu; he got Galvin but missed the prize. Our much maligned recruitment team bettered him.

I’d be waiting at least another year before I beat my chest about who comes out on top of that deal.
St George just lost Finau Latu to the Bulldogs much to Flanagan's frustration. Parra. have lost multiple juniors to other clubs and so have Penrith because they couldn't keep them all - Katao and Ilongi both doing great things at their new clubs. Their are lots of things this club has screwed up but it is not unique to lose juniors when all clubs are prepared take risks with young talent.
In the bulk of the games Ive seen Latu play, he makes the players around him look better. Friday night we saw his impact on Luai and his brother Samuela...
Galvin and TDS haven't made other players better, it's all individual brilliance... I'd also argue that Latu's better in this department too whilst being the best defender of the 3..

We are losing juniors that WE are telling the world will form the nucleus of our squad moving forward indefinitely. These kids were going to have the roster built around them.
It’s not the same thing as the examples you have given.

You are correct. Very good players make other players look good. Also it is apparent Luai and Fainu work together well as a team.
Luai was very vocal that he was a huge fan of Latu and the things that he saw that he was able to do.
Even when he was starting next to Lachy in the halves, he praised the man not starting.

Katoa and Iongi are not good comparisons because they had their path blocked by Australian representatives in their 20s.
The saying “Can’t keep them all” only works if a couple slip through the net.
We’ve lost Galvin, Large x 2, and now very likely TDS in the space of 6 months. These 4 along with Makasini formed our top 5 juniors. That is not good enough.
It's not close....
We're coming last - 3 years Running
and not looking real good this year.
Talking about the Panthers losing juniors while winning absolutely everything is not remotely close.

Remove the 64-0 drubbing and our F/A is -2. We are tracking better than a 15th placed team but need to start converting some of the close losses. It's not good enough and Richo on down all look incompetent.

He looks to get along very well with Terrell.
Spot on.
We aren’t too far away from being edge of the top 4/8.
Vastly improved overall. However being close, isn’t good enough.
6 games this year so far with less then 4 points in the margin. W need to find a way to snag those.

So hard this one. I think we should do everything we can to keep them both tbh but if no matter what that isn’t possible, i think we neee to keep Api.
Api has three good years left in him IMO and if he can captain us back to the top 8 and retire a Tiger, he is a proper Tiger legend. He also has a great relationship with Benji and Jarome. Not easy call but that’s the way I’d be going
