Tallyn Da Silva #270

Can’t see a problem resigning api
He will still be a top 5 hooker and expect would still play 50-60 minutes
if tds leaves it’s next man up. Could be bud Sullivan at this stage
If he leaves for opportunity but loves the club it allows for us to potentially pick him up down the track

Api made some big calls to come here and see the Tigers succeed. I wouldn't be surprised if he puts his hand up to take a back seat to retain TDS
Very true , it would be a great thing and even keep Appi in the coaching ranks , we can’t loose TDS as he will be 21/22 and ready for years at this club , if Haywood is better start using him off the bench late in the season if it’s a no finals situatuon

Would be a great fit. I like Naden as a footballer and person, but it just hasnt worked out for him here.
..or anywhere else he's been either..
IDoesnt his contract finish this year...we need him as backup remainder of season
I'd see Bud Sullivan requesting a release..doing OK at Souths..and Walker won't get healthier
If they take most of his 550 x 2 yr contract,I'd let him go

Sometimes it’s better to stick with what you know than what you don’t. TDS is building and can handle first grade but is far from the level of Api at this stage.
Question for those that watch the juniors, how far off is Haywood, what does he need to improve on to get a go, what does he need to work on?
We do have Hope as a gap filler I guess.
I’d imagine players would be really re thinking their contract situations with the Bears coming in in 27 followed by PNG in 28 we will not be the only club going through this.

Are you alluding that a deal has been done outright for him? Or that there's no need to do 3 ways, we can get him outright at the end of the year anyway? I'm thinking the latter, but worth clarifying.

No, I was stressing the point that he could kick rocks if he wants to do. Grown men outside

Why don't we loan him out for 1 year. Just like Melbourne did with Grant for 1 year.
Then when Api retires he is back with us. It could be a win win . Find a club with an extra second rower.

So who fills in when API needs a break? And if API is injured?
We already have depth issues

Nah, keep Api. I get TDS wants to play first grade... He isn't a lock and I don't know where else he can play.

Api realistically is going to drop as a 80 minute player. We have been stupid playing him for 80 minutes so many games. Were now trying him on at 60 minutes... Start with TDS then bring Api at lock maybe?

Either way were not burning Api.

If TDS goes the long term replacement to Api is Jared Haywood. Very clever player.

Watch the Arrive Alive cup final 2023 where Galvins team wins. Haywood was playing for PBB and knocks the ball out of Galvins hands when he was putting ball down over line. Hes a year or 2 younger than TDS and Australian Schoolboy. Shame to lose TDS but we have backup.

I personally don’t think TDS ready to start in first grade and I think his agent might go against him - tigers may look to reduce power Moses has in our club.
