Tallyn Da Silva #270

Well it appears final, Benji has resigned/accepted the fact TDS is leaving...simpy put TDS does not want to be 2nd fiddle to APi for another 2-3 years...fair enough.....Hope in the next 3 years we develop and have a good hooker ready to take over when Api does finish up...My only hope is that APi doesn't hang around too long and his game declines signifuicantly in the process

Benji was interviewed about half an hour ago and said he is leaving
Which i think is a very poor outcome for people whose job it is to manage these things.

The stupidity and gross incompetence of this club never ceases to amaze me.

We have all the diplomatic skills of an Australian trade envoy to the White House.

This is where it’s helpful to state what he actually said for those of us who didn’t see it.
"The hard thing is he (Tallyn) wants to be here, he wants to stay, he's really a good kid & he's got a bright future & I understand the sentiment of you got to try to keep them all but at the same time we're putting our eggs into Apis basket for the next few years. He's the guy to help us win more games and to be fair he's probably been our best player the last few years and he's got more left in the tank. I can understand Tallyn wanting to be in first grade & playing more minutes & not wait behind him so it's hard to stop a guy in that instance."

still doesn’t explain why let him go early 🤦🏻‍♀️ another kid walking out with nothing in return we really are a basket case . clubs must wait for who ever falls out of our tree rather than develop their own .

Why develop their own when we will almost certainly botch up the retention.

And it was Richo who said we’d have 5 local juniors in the grand final one day.

That’s right Richo, running out for two different clubs.

Well… they could have kept him to see out his contract at least ,,,they need a back up hooker and he is better than Hope…

It just encourages the next one to leave early
Making it a bit of a habit.

The Sheens era golden boys are all heading out.

A new era awaits i guess.
