No doubt about it, we're on a roll.Only 4, I reckon we can do better than that.

Why would Penrith fans be crying? What great examples there.Latu is better than Galvin and TDS combined. As far as I am aware he is going nowhere.
Gone are the days that clubs build their NRL team around juniors... Most sporting clubs whilst they like to retain the quality, are more than happy to window shop other clubs to find the right player based on their needs. Look at the EPL, NFL and the NBA.. get with the times eh... Look at the demographic of this forum, how many ppl are actually from the areas? Same applies to the team.
I'll also note Katoa went to the dolphins, Iongi went to parra, blaze went to Penrith... Do you see their fans crying as much as some on here? Its business
Ok sure forget penrith fans. Why would Penrith fans be crying? What great examples there.
Tigers rose coloured glasses here. No evidence of this at all. And I like Latu. But claims like this are just coping 101.Latu is better than Galvin and TDS combined. As far as I am aware he is going nowhere.
Tell that to Penrith, who just won 4 consecutive premierships on the back of their juniors. What happens in different sports around is irrelevant. There’s no basis for anything you are saying. You just want to convince yourself that we are a professionally run club who has has some modicum of an idea of what we are doing.Gone are the days that clubs build their NRL team around juniors... We got a spoon when there were only 16 teams, we got 2 spoons when there were 17 teams, lets see if we get a spoon when there are 18 teams. How do you go backwards from 3 spoons?
I'd be over the moon if we went on to win 4 more games this season, really can't see it happening but hope to be proved wrong.9 wins will avoid the spoon pretty comfortably. That said, we aren’t there yet.
I'll iron the $1.00 notesNew clubs have a war chest, we have a granny wallet now.
Plus they had juniors that could actually step up.Respectfully it’s hard to compare Penrith losing juniors to us because Penrith lost those juniors in the midst of winning comps while we’re losing them in the midst of winning spoons.
If you take out the Storm result and replace it with the result that the Roosters will inflict on us next week, it probably still looks about the same.We recently held Canberra and Penrith to 3 tries. We’ve improved a lot in that area particularly if you take out the Storm result.
We win in the click bait stakes apparently lol. What other measure do consider to assess performance of an NRL club? Maybe be financial? Oh we we came last in that aspect as well. Membership ? One of the lowest.
And a feeder club for sucessful clubs. We win in the click bait stakes apparently lol.
We’ve only won 5But still spoon bound. Those wins mean nothing. We need to be in top 12 after the recruitment this year. No point shuffling the deck chairs and think it's better.
lol come on mate. Last year you were saying Latu could stay in Reggie’s cause we had Galvin.Latu is better than Galvin and TDS combined. As far as I am aware he is going nowhere.
Kikau will feign the high shot every day of the week for rest, he is dead set lazy and I’d take the effort of Curran over that lazy turd!Curran is on big money 650k+
Him or Kikau will be forced out very soon
Everyone is saying PNG will be the one to save us from another spoon, but I have my doubts lol.We got a spoon when there were only 16 teams, we got 2 spoons when there were 17 teams, lets see if we get a spoon when there are 18 teams.
Yeah I know, the Bears will save us just like the Dolphins did when they joined the comp. 🤣
In Latu's limited time on the field over the past 2 season, he's made an impact almost every single opportunity. He straightens the attack. He can play his role as pivot, but knows when to make a move (scored a few tries close to the line for us). He is effective in defence and reminds me of old bargass joey johns.Tigers rose coloured glasses here. No evidence of this at all. And I like Latu. But claims like this are just coping 101.
To claim what happens in the most successful sports around the world is irrelevant, indicates you are living in the past.. It's nostalgic to think you can bring through tonnes of juniors who play in the Balmain and Wests catchments and they become for the tigers version of what Joey Johns was for the Knights..Tell that to Penrith, who just won 4 consecutive premierships on the back of their juniors. I was happy for Latu to stay in reggies so he could develop his game and get some reps till his time had come... and it's come early.lol come on mate. Last year you were saying Latu could stay in Reggie’s cause we had Galvin.
I understand being annoyed when people leave, but there is zero chance your statement here is correct.
Everything you say is discounted by the fact Penrith have won 4 consecutive competitions based on the strength of the juniors. And considering we have the second biggest junior area in Sydney, to suggest we shouldn’t utilise that after what the Panthers achieved with theirs is nonsense. In Latu's limited time on the field over the past 2 season, he's made an impact almost every single opportunity. Can agree to disagree, but I have seen enough footy to know Latu is exactly the player we need with Luai... It wasn't working with Lachlan, nor would it ever..

The reality is, most of the talent is going to be pushed out of Sydney because of the cost of living. Players are going to be coming from other regions and there will be fewer kids playing rugby league all across Sydney. It's already happened to the Balmain comp, Manly comp, whilst the North Sydney comp decimated years ago.. If I remember correctly Souths, St George and Canterbury had merged with Balmain at one stage at the senior levels? I'm not talking about RM or Shield. But behind that, the juniors have disappeared. 20-30 years ago there'd be 8-10 team competitions in each of these areas. Now they struggle to have a handful of teams.
The game is growing. Perth is back. They are bringing in PNG. The plans don't stop there...
The NRL and it's clubs are an employer... Footy isn't just Footy anymore.. It's a commodity.
It'll be interesting to see what happens with Penrith over the next 20-30 years. House prices out that way are skyrocketing and a lot of people living there now will probably be pushed out.
I predict that PNG will be the next junior base that catches everyone's attention, but it has so many other challenges to overcome e.g. protecting the players from the crime (both those who play there and those travelling there).
I'll iron the $1.00 notes
Any player who left us to play for another team is a bad player. It's been scientifically proven.lol come on mate. Last year you were saying Latu could stay in Reggie’s cause we had Galvin.
