I would nothing more than watching them get the Spoon and stay there for a few years except for Dogs to fall over and miss the top 8 next year..Comment by Tallyn’s dad about him going to Parra…
Galvin and TDS weren't getting paid pennies.Yeah some good points but don't forget these guys are getting paid very well, so we should expect nothing less then 100%
Richo said himself that they would not stand in TDS’ way to play first grade. Richo acknowledged his path was blocked here. So of course moving to another club where he’s a good shot of being a starter almost off the bat, plus a hefty increase in his salary is moving on to bigger and better things. It was meant in the context of his career, not a slight on our club. Now, Galvin taking a shot by replying to TDS leaving, that’s a different story. But this kid just wanted a chance to play first grade, and was willing to play here, but the club wanted to go in another direction, but I digress. His father was just proud of his son. No malice or vindictiveness in it.I would nothing more than watching them get the Spoon and stay there for a few years except for Dogs to fall over and miss the top 8 next year..
Just shows you that the club seems to have made the right calls on Galvin and TDS as it seems their parents wanted them out as well and if you are not fully committed we don't want you bringing others down.
This nonsense is making the news.View attachment 24615
I think us tigers fans should bring a class action against Galvin for bullying
Sure. Maybe as insulting as a "team first" postThis nonsense is making the news.
Is anyone actually taking offense to this?
I took it as he's happy for his best friend.
Hardly insulting to the club.
Are you serious?I would nothing more than watching them get the Spoon and stay there for a few years except for Dogs to fall over and miss the top 8 next year..

They probably weren’t really that broken then. Couldn’t be bothered to fact check.Actually I think Penrith won the comp in two years
But you forgot we have a long range plan. I don't know when it starts or likely to end?Actually I think Penrith won the comp in two years
They were wooden spooners two years before. They probably weren’t really that broken then. Couldn’t be bothered to fact check.
Parra is a sinking ship. The choker flog is always injured these days too. Watching them lose improves my mood when we don’t win.Eels lock in Ryley Smith until end of 2027 also.
Not a bad hooking combo.
They'll share the role well, you'd think.
Penrith & Tigers supplying the league with talent.
I was told in 2014 we were finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel after a couple of years in the wilderness. But you forgot we have a long range plan. I don't know when it starts or likely to end?
Not disputing that. A really bad run of injuries can cause that to happen. Doesn’t mean the club is on its knees necessarily. Consecutive spoons and over a decade without finals is a different gravy. They were wooden spooners two years before.
As if Parra fans wouldn’t be saying the same thing about this club.Parra is a sinking ship.
If you’ve watched the 2 of them you couldn’t come to that conclusion. Haywood is much more of a threat from 9, has a better kicking game and gives better service. He’s not as big and strong but that will come.Everyone is saying Haywood’s better but if we let Haywood go and kept TDS they would say the opposite
The M5 or the M8?I was told in 2014 we were finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel after a couple of years in the wilderness.
I think most football people can see improvement in our roster and performances. Not as fast as we’d like but we aren’t fielding Laurie or Wakeham in the spine anymore. As if Parra fans wouldn’t be saying the same thing about this club.
We’re in the Gotthard Base.The M5 or the M8?
Lots of clubs are releasing players and unfortunately it's concentrated in many of the poorer-performing clubs. Look at Dragons, Warriors or Eels for similar runs of releases. Many of them not specifically in favour of the incumbent club.I respect your opinions but you are looking at it in isolation and like a lot of other times, you are being too "pro-Club" with this.
This has happened repetitively and without arguing each of the previous cases, it is undeniable that either the Club is "promising" the wrong thing or setting expectations which cannot be met. The Club isn't looking at player's motivations before signing them up for big contracts.
You are completely right that it is about their "personal brand" but that is Club wide, not limited to players.
The Club culture starts from the top and by releasing players without signing replacements or letting players go early without benefitting the team is the wrong mentality.
These decisions to let go of Klem, Bateman, TDS, Galvin etc will keep setting a precedent that you can request a release and we will let you go. I understand that you want to weed out those playes who don't put team first, but we shouldn't hire them in the first place. We need a stricter policing of the players we hire to the Top 30.
This is on the Club and it's administrators/ decision makers, this cannot always be the players/ player agents. This cannot just be "Oh, it didn't work out". The common denominator is us and we ned to change that.
That's a June 30 thing, isn't anyone paying attention?Blah blah blah…
Most of the criticism I’ve heard this week is around the decision to let him go immeadiately… it’s not about re-signing him instead of Api
