Taniela Tuiaki Injury Thread...

I saw Taniela at an appearance a few days before the Bulldogs game and we had a photo taken with him. (My daughter now has a pic with him every year since 2006 !! ) and he told me he would be back in 4 weeks then. . . . . .

Regardless of when the big unit comes back, you'd imagine it will be through Reserve Grade. Speed, agility, acceleration and over all conditioning at training is one thing. Match fitness is completely different. The bloke needs to get some mileage in his legs and get some much needed confidence back in his ankle.

well we heard 8 weeks before, so 4 weeks till he can start training might put him right on track for the nrl in 8 weeks time.

If the Tigers turn this slump around and start winning, I don't think we'll be rushing him back and he'll probably make his return after a few weeks in state cup… but if we are struggling... I'd expect him to be back sooner, rather than later tbh. Ofcourse this is all once he has recovered from his injury! It's good to hear he's on the mend and keen to return though, especially after hearing much talk of missing the season!

I actually don't mind when the guy returns… just great to hear he doesn't have a limp anymore. It's definitely a positive sign. That's cock's comb stuff must be working.

I mind because hopefully that means fitzy to the bench or better yet state cup

Guys

i can tell you right now he isnt going to be back in 4 weeks, or even 6 weeks for that matter..

the training he is doing is not someone who is coming back in 4 weeks yet alone 8…. so forget him for the next 8 -10weeks at least

Didn't i say in the offseason Tuiaki would be lucky to get his jersey back off Fitzy this year?

It's not a surprise for some of us though BB. I always thought Tuiaki would be doing well to get back by round 20 if at all this season. He may very well be best off not playing this year and have a proper off-season under his belt for next year.

I guess with everyone saying in "one month" they are all correct…the only unanswered question is "when does the count down to the month start"..Feb 2011...???

Sat at the table next to me at Lunch yesterday (Tuiaki). Still limping noticably. It would have put me off my food but i was at that awesome Chicken Shop at Petersham.

prob limping cause he has started to run at around 5km on the treadmill, which means he is prob a little sore after doing it and other then that he isnt even doing running on the field or with the team..

simonthetiger, no chance he is back in 6 weeks.. 8 weeks or 10… i think u will find he wont be back this year..

This never gets old….

We should start a guessing comp.....

All the best Tuiaki....whenever your ready....will do me fine....

Why are you trying so hard with this?
Let people have their little ray of hope…dont be such a wet blanket....I bet youre the guy that butts in with the punchline when someone else is telling a joke youve already heard.

This is really pathetic, everyone trying to score brownie points on when he'll be back...lets just wish him a speedy recovery ala the last two posts.

Just heard on 2UE sport report this arvo that tuiaki could be a suprise naming in the balmain ryde side tomorrow so we all can only hope
