see this is why This is Tuiaki's thread….

Well if the rumours are true....Tui was at the UD trucks sponsorship signing yesterday ....wish I knew then his career was over....would have given him a massive hug.....

As it is I don't think we will see him this season...it's a massive loss.... 😢

lol innk...pregnant....best wishes the Tuiaki family....

if his ankle is still cracking after almost 4 months or whatever its not good signs for tuiaki he is my fav player by far at the tigers and if he isnt back soon i will cry :frowning: i currently have a broken leg and the cracking stopped after 6weeks…

Hopefully Tame Topou can follow in tuiaki's footsteps, anyone no any info on topou injury?

My ankle still cracks 16 months after I did ligament damage, but I haven't had surgery. Fingers crossed it's not the end of Tui's career. That would be terribly sad.

On the 2KY sports show this morning they said that Tuiaki will not play again this year and may never play again. His ankle is just not healing.

I am lost for words how tragic that would be if true. :frowning:

he will play again, its not that serious, maybe not on the wing but he will be back

Hi Geo

Did you go to the signing? I did - got a flag signed for a Tiger supporter here.

It was a great crowd and the boys were fantastic. Thanks to Benji, Robbie, Lote and Tuiaki for their patience, and to the UD Truck staff for arranging the signing .

All the best to "Teppanyaki" We will see him back!

What I find amusing is Mr Sheens is movings his backs into the forwards & Mr Bennett is moving his forwards into the backs!

my ankle doesnt crack at all but hurts when I move it in a circle(other ankel can crack all the time) and I did that 14 years ago when I was 15… ankles can just stay like that for life

TUIAKI TAKES NEXT IMPORTANT STEP IN RECOVERY
By Wayne Cousins

In a positive sign for Wests Tigers, winger Taniela Tuiaki has been given the green light to take the next important step in his recovery.
>
Tuiaki will now start running without assistance as he attempts to overcome a shocking ankle injury.
>
The powerhouse winger has been sidelined since suffering the broken ankle in round 21 last year. He has been working very hard under the eye of Wests Tigers Rehabilitation Manager Andrew Leeds.
>
“Taniela was advised on Monday by the specialist to bump up the load of his running. We will see how he responds to that over the next month,’’ Leeds said.
>
“He has been running in a harness which is partial weight bearing. We are now going to see how he tolerates full weight bearing running.”
>
Leeds confirmed that a return date or round for Tuiaki remains indefinite.

Good news boys!!!!

Yeah keeping fans updated with progress on a players serious injury is pointless.

Sweet logic homie

Yeah every story on the website is always flooded with Where/How's Tuiaki?, so the club responds with good news and it's a pointless article?

I say it again, some people just like to whinge.
