Taupau Signed

good signing, but the kennell is not empty yet, hope we go back and get another 1or 2 from the dogs.they seem to have heaps of forward power we can grab at a good price.
i believie they need to dump a few to get folua next year.

This should be a good signing

I wonder what it means for the future of Galloway, though

Weakens his bargaining power a little I'd imagine. Hope he stays though.

Dare I say it Another fr fr fr fr fringe player

Probably went in after Tolman and then ended up with the 5th choice prop at the Dogs LOL

Will be interesting to see what ghusto he brings next year.
Ticks the Big and Strong box, heres hoping this bloke can bend the opposition line next year.

Would be good if dogs release him right now. Please des you don't need him

Not really feasible to only sign marquee players though.

Funny how a lot of clubs manage to sign at least one marquee player a season that actually perform like a marquee player

Our last was Ellis in my opinion Tuqiri was OK for a season

Pat Richards wasn't a marquee signing

would be ideal but it might cause salary cap issues.. or perhaps compound to current woes

Hopefully Tapau and Gavet have big off seasons and give us that depth in the front row.

Wouldnt mind Tim Lafai as well

Have you seen the props the dogs can pick from? He's only 5th choice because they have talented props everywhere

And a lot of clubs don't sign a marquee player per season.

I'm not defending everything our recruitment dept does, I've bagged it to. But its not as dire as everyone makes out.

Dogs 5th choice is better than our third choice. Good signing from potter.

I do wonder what it means for groat and red though

Also, some of you guys need to start seeing some of the changes and stop the great whinge that comes at everything that happens. (Flame proof suit [x] on [ ] off)

I can't wait until we actually have a squad that has minimal injuries

Decent signing IMO, big, strong and mobile for a prop with a decent workrate. It makes it all the more intriguing now as to what happens with Galloway and Groat. Both are off contract and personally I'd like both to stay, but I just have a feeling at least one of them will go.

On a sidenote, Joel Reddy is hoping to stay with the Tigers and is hoping to have talks in the next couple of weeks about his future.

I don't know much about him, as I haven't seen many dogs games this year. So I was very happy to read that everyone on the forum likes this signing

gee willow, i hope they dont resign reddy, he just does not offer anything in attack or defence, we need to clean out quite a few players and bring in some new young talent.
