Look at us, stone motherless last, falling membership, falling crowds, a team that couldn't care less and a coach that inspires nobody. Memo to the board, success means a good playing roster, good coach and performance on the field. The result is healthy crowds at games, strong membership and respect within the league community.

Unfortunately nobody who has anything to do with the running of Wests Tigers football is hearing you or wants to hear you. That is the predicament.

It wouldn't surprise me if the senior players white anted Potter the way they tanked it at the end of last yr. So when i saw Woods sitting next to the pasty faced scarecrow in a press conference a few weeks looking absolutely bereft of enthusiasm, i couldn't help but think that was karma.

Yes, very true Phil!

Bottom line is that the buck stops with the coach. This team played to their age yesterday, not their ability. Taylor is obviously not connecting with them and not preparing them as a group of young people need to be prepared for this sport.

Doesn't matter how smart etc you are, you need to be able to manage the players foremost as a head coach, especially these days.

The game vs the Warriors will be a deciding factor if we get it or not ? We beat the Warriors we are safe.
I can't see Newcastle beating the Storm or the Bulldogs next week.

disappointing to see another loss
disappointed, though not surprised to see so much criticism here.
But really, what I see is a team that is really trying very hard, and if not for some silly mistakes, are capable of beating anyone.
I am not sure that calling for the coaches blood etc is really helpful, I watched this happen with the previous 2 coaches , thinking at the time that it was not helpful or constructive, and still feel the same now.
All I can offer is the patience to support a team that shows promise…..and they seem a good bunch of young fellas.......I can see nothing seriously wrong with the coach
I will continue to support hoping they find a winning rhythm

Good coaches cost heaps, hed be on bugger all...like Potter....we cannot get good players, were stuck with an average coach...nothing will change but if it does i cant see it being for mush better, just for changes sake

Sack Farah, he is dort. Club gains an extra Million, get Potter back to stabilize the club before making a play for a more established coach down the track if needed.

Yep won't happen and probably not even possible, and certainly unrealistic.

To me privitisation would be the answer to all this. Have performance based results and annual reviews like most industries have and then if they don't meet the annual goals then your remuneration is also affected.

But to say we can't afford this and that then we are burying our heads in the sand. All the club needs to do is to peruse what has been mentioned and see where it may lead.

So how do you lure a new coach in with whatever strict KPI you put in place in the short attention span of time you are giving them to avoid this happening in the future? No one in their right mind, including the Hasslers or the Bennetts would be up for that sort of challenge. It would also be remiss of the club to think that a 15th to Top 4 finish is going to happen in 1 season. Throw all the cash you want at it, 2 facts drive this change; an updated roster with depth, and a change in culture at the club. A new head coach may have control of one half of 1 of those 2\. I'm not a JT defender as witnessed by other posts and threads, and I know everyone's patience is teetering on non-existent, but sometimes cash can buy you happiness.
