Anyone feel like doing a brief summary?

Wests Tigers Coach Jason Taylor spoke to Big Sports Breakfast as his team heads into the bye this weekend on the back of three wins from their last four matches.

Set to move even further up the ladder this weekend with a guaranteed two points, Taylor spoke about the pleasing form his side has displayed lately and what he hoped to see from the team ahead of their "biggest game of the season" next Sunday against the Storm.

"We’ve built a bit of momentum over the last six games," Taylor said.

We’d like to keep that rolling, and we’ve got a few guys who need a rest, so it’s a good time to get the bye. We’re pretty happy with what we’ve done over the last few weeks and the challenge is to keep improving. It’s not a matter of saying that’s good enough and we hang on to that; we need to keep improving because there’s more there.

"It takes time to get everything on track, but we’re getting there.

"The game against the Broncos was a big one for us with the way we played, the style of footy that we played and the control that we showed against a well-coached side.

"We’re learning how to play that grinding tough style and when we put some our skill on top of that, it’ll make us hard to beat if we can do that week in and week out.

"Melbourne is a great test and we’re really looking forward to it," he said.

"The fact that we’ve got pretty much two weeks to prepare for that is good. It’s been a great opportunity to get some hard work done but also to give the guys a rest too.

"They’ll come in next Monday really fresh and building up for what will be our biggest game of the year against Melbourne in Melbourne."

Robbie Farah is set to become a permanent bench player for Wests Tigers with coach Jason Taylor indicating that's his plan.

The Tigers (6-8) have won four games when without Farah this season, and were again victorious on Friday night against South Sydney when the NSW hooker came off the bench.

And while there was much conjecture before that match about whether former skipper Farah would retain his starting spot, Taylor has suggested his strong bench role is the way forward.

"It's the clear direction for us as a club, and it's a positive direction," Taylor told Sky Sports Radio's Big Sports Breakfast.

"I think it's the direction of the future and we will keep rolling our way down that path."

The Tigers have won three of their past four matches, and now find themselves just two points out of the top eight in 13th position.

Taylor puts that largely down to a change in the club's tactics, which has allowed halves Mitchell Moses and Luke Brooks to take more control of the game while dangerous fullback James Tedesco is able to receive more early ball.

"What that means is some tough decisions around the style of play, so that's the reason behind some of the decisions that we have made over the past five or six weeks," Taylor said.

"Robbie missed a few games and the team has played really well, so we want to keep rolling in that fashion."

Taylor also defended his decision to rest Farah from the Tigers round 13 loss to the Roosters, a decision that was seen as the latest episode in a feud between the pair after the 246-game veteran was reportedly upset at missing the game.

"It wasn't a mistake, it was the right decision with what Robbie had been through in the Origin game but also the head knock that was pretty severe that he received," Taylor said.

"And also that we wanted to keep the team rolling in that fashion we had."

Farah's position at the Tigers has appeared unsettled since the end of last season when Taylor told the 2005 premiership winner he could look elsewhere.

One thing with Taylor he has stuck to his guns from day one, okay I might not agree with his philosophy on football, but i do like the way through good and bad he keeps banging the same drum and in principle he is a 100% right yes they have to learn the grind but most teams you only have a very small window because players move on or retire so you do not have the time to go back to square one, so therefore you have to concentrate on there strengths rather than fix there weaknesses

It is gutsy, cos he's put his career on the line, when he could stayed with the status quo that has seen this club fail for the best part of the previous 15 yrs. You can throw in the Farah stuff too. Love him or hate him, you can't knock his courage.

If he makes us win more games than we loose…I'll like him.
P.S. He's also gotta make our young spine want to play under him.

I'm not fussed how he delivers the results as long as we are playing finals footy
I cant ask for a lot more
Yeah a Grand final in 2016 would top it off but I will hang onto my dreams for now

Crap coach is still a crap coach

Perhaps you could expand on that and show us your thinking in coming to this conclusion. What are the areas where he is deficient in your view and what could he do to remedy those deficiencies? Is it wrong of him to want the team to get into the grind and then use our attack off that base? Is he wrong to start Robbie off the the bench, taking into consideration the way he and the team played against Souths?

Please, give us the benefit of your wisdom behind your all too short post.

Is it just me or does he finally seem to be starting to relax into the role ??

Maybe he is finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel from his perspective ??

With Go and Pascoe giving him support in the media that he is not going to be dumped mid year and some good results on the field recently he has been far more open in the media . IMO some people above him like probably Buckets must have also endorsed his strategy for Farah cause there is no way he would be saying what is now about Farah's role in the team moving forward if he didn't have the backing from above.

One thing I have liked this year about Taylor is he has been a lot more real. Last year he was saying complete rubbish like the scoreboard did not matter the process did. And he was talking about abject losses as great perofrmances. This year he has been blunt the pressure is on we need wins and we need to climb the ladder. We are not happy with where we are sitting it is not good enough. Much

We really need to get around the 10-12 win mark for JT to say he has improved the team. get out of that Bottom 4 rot and keep in touch with the 8 until the very last round of the season.

I dont agree with people who think our roster is terrible. We have some of the best young talent in the game and a few old heads. Hopefully a really strong game against Melbourne can kick start a huge finish to the year. The pressure is on,

Yes, yes, yes!
We all no this week we are all happy with the win, but really souffs are well soft! No great victory there!
Broncos good win but most of their great players out!
We were way below average against the cocks, if we didn't have tedesco in the team we would have been done by 40….
And the scarecrow banging on about it being a great fight back, please!
And still in this interview he craps on that it was the rite move not to play farah, crap call...
He also does a bad job in the media explaining the farah situation, just leaves more doors open.
Lets see next week when we play Melbourne cheaters in Melbourne????
We will see how we go then, will he rest farah? And will belemy rest cam and conk????
