Taylor is at Explosion Point - Watch out

Inept decisions by refs have been going on for years,it will keep going on…Taylor is doing the right thing by the club re financial fines and costs...he should be blowing up at the overrated overhyped playing squad that can't get the fundamentals right and costing themselves wins...it's always easier to blame the coach for every reason, this playing squad has the talent and potential to win games, but don't seem to understand what needs to win the games..holding the ball, not give penalties away, defend the middle and find ground on the last tackle and don't get caught with the ball....not kicking the field goal on two occasions is very poor for NRL standard playmakers...

Can't agree with Taylor keeping quiet. I'm not sure how much he can say without being fined but I think the players would like to see him show some passion and commitment to them. The Tigers were ripped off and he has a perfect right to show his frustration! Not only that, I don't think it wouldn't it would provide a poor example for the players. What's wrong with fighting for what's right? It might help the Tigers in the future! Look at Hasler, Bellamy and others…..

Fittler says very incorrectly that Taylor commenting on the referees' decisions would result in his team showing weak mental strength. On the contrary it shows to referees and all other teams that Wests Tigers' team and coach are very timid and don't have the mental strength to question clearly incorrect refereeing decision which has cost the side a win on at least matches this year. Instead of complaining that your team does not have sufficient metal strength show the strength and courage required of a coach Taylor and your team will follow certainly suit.

I ask again - who is going to pay the fine?

JT is not getting paid enough to fork out $10,000 = he would probably not be on more than Lovett.

West Tigers management need to go and have a talk to the NRL - not Archer who will just stick up for his band of incompetents.

I don't believe Lawrence would have got the ball down. His hands aren't his strength. We had our chances and didn't take them. One point this game, two the previous. We grumble about refeering decisions and last year we finished second last but some were trying to spin it differently. How about we accept the the last year and a bit have been bad.

We have had four points ripped off us in the past couple of weeks due to officials not having the balls to make a couple of big calls . Okay both calls do not happen very often, but still no excuse for not making the right call.

As for Taylor blowing 10grand or more by having a dump spit, no point, they are not going to gives us our four points and in the eyes of the NRL we are just cellar dwellers.

Exactly. What a load. Stick to passing out in police station gardens Freddie because that article is just a bloke talking outta his arse.

Rowdy's hand aren't' great guys

I said the exact same thing as Fittler at the time, if that was Naiqama or Tedesco its a penalty try

Geez, the refs and bunker wallopers are useless enough without forcing them to adjudicate on whether or not a bloke has good enough hands to score a try or not!…
....maybe they could give the players some ball handling drills on the field pre-game with the refs ticking off on a chalkboard "whoops Moses dropped that one, knock him back if he claims penalty try today".
Doesn't matter who is attempting to score, if they reckon he would of got to the ball- which Rowdy would have for certain, then penalty try.
Who's to say Craig Smith wouldn't have fumbled the ball while putting it down in the '99 Grand Final? Knobhead Harrigan had no qualms about deciding a Grand Final with a penalty try, it is never a certainty to be grounded correctly until the ball hits the ground.
It depends on who you play for as to whether it is awarded or not- not how great a blokes' hands are or aren't.

I stand by what I said before. The best coaches use it for competitive advantage. Right across world sport. Look at Sir Ferguson, Mourinho, Malthouse, Clarkson, Hasler etc etc. They all knew when to turn up the heat occasionally on terrible officiating.

If Tay;or had had a crack after the Newcastle game it would have at least been in the officials head for the Melbourne game. They are only human.

If we act like cellar dwellars well we will always be there. Im not saying bag them every week, but when your losing games because of blatant things you need to take a stand for your players, for your fans for your club.

He might be doing the right thing by saving the club 10 K , but he also might be digging his own grave with his dignity.

He fails, he gets booted out and Ivan Cleary comes in

Ivan wants to come here does he?

Must be his manager. We're not bad for a struggling club are we, ''this coach is available so we could sign him if we wanted''. Too bad its not this easy attracting top shelf players.

In regards to the penalty try, i'm not sure why people are complaining. The precedent was set in the Warriors/Roosters game when Ryan Hoffman was kept off the ball. Don't we want consistency from the bunker? This seems to be one thing they're going to be consistent with.

Don't they have a complaints procedure in regards of refs? Can't see how cracking at the refs in public will do him much good….overall we seem to get our share of lineball decisions. Can't see yet another coaching replacement being of much use either. From a layman's point of view ,he seems to be doing ok.

Well that's just fantastic…..consistency in getting the decisions wrong hip hip hooray!
Surely it would be just as easy to get decisions right consistently instead of wrong? Most people would prefer that I'd reckon. Celebrating consistency when it comes to getting crucial decisions wrong is pretty weak, but typical of the NRL's weak-as heirachy.

so you think the referees sit around and go "oh yeah those wests tigers have a timid coach. lets screw them over with decisions as much as possible"

thats not how it works, they do their best. whether their best is good enough is a different question but they're not targeting us and i bet most teams sit around thinking they get the rough end of the stick in terms of decisions. maybe we've gotten a bit worse, but it's all just probability so it'll probably balance out over time

Cronk had two shots at field goal, the first dropped short. Cmon Freddie you were there bro.

Yeah but then he caught up with jokey after the game and can't remember how he got home or the last week

Its damn hard to award a penalty try when dealing with a loose ball.

I can see how it could be a penalty try but I honestly think the refs made the right call.

The biggest travesty is allowing Melbourne to dominate possession while they were down to 12 men.

Not gonna rely on my source till this eventuates

We must be a pretty strong club to have coaches like Cleary, Robinson and Tooves all beating down our door. Spoiled with choice we are. Too bad it isn't this easy signing players.

3 straight minor premierships and will be sacked for only winning 1 out of the first 7 matches of 2016\. On that basis, could probably argue the remaining 15 coaches should be sacked.

Throw in their injury toll and his halfbacks fetish for mans best friend and it's actually a ridiculous claim. Their spine this yr, is younger and more inexperienced than ours last yr.
