Wests Tigers leader Elijah Taylor reckons there’s a distinct difference with coaches who have won a Telstra Premiership and those that haven’t after his first three months with Michael Maguire.

Get that up you Ivan, that is from one of your biggest supporters too

Here is the link to a evening with Ivan if anyone would like to have a listen to the great man and ask him some questions about integrity and honesty.

Like it or not, I think ET will be an integral part of the side this season. Fingers crossed for no concussions.

I think the boys mentioned this in their latest podcast - it’s so hard to pick our backrowers because they all seem to bring the same thing. Lawrence, McQueen and Garner especially are the same type of player. Not sure about Matterson. Taylor’s defence could help him be picked at 13 but if Madge wants s hard running lock then a Taylor is out

Think with rowdy being injured now a spot will be open for ET ….. but would like some more size and mobility in our back row. Been like it for years now and I think it’s our downfall. I could go for
13 Josh
12 Ryan
11 Elijah

Elijah Taylor seems to be a set and forget. For now at least. I have serious doubts he will last the season. We have a couple of younger guy who will challenge him. for now at least a new coach can lock him and focus on some other areas that need more urgent attention.

Whether or not Elijah begins and finishes the season in the 17, who knows, though I expect so, but as you alluded to, he is one of those rare players that consistently performs to a good standard. I really hope that he is forced out by another, as that would mean someone has really stepped up their level.

Taylor didn't have a good season last year. But in 2017 he was one of our better forwards (not that we had great forwards).
This preseason he looks bigger. Hopefully he has reinvented himself.
And has a good season at lock because we need a solid lock

I still think he should be used as an edge forward and not up the guts. He might have bulked up but he’s still not a big forward. Just hope he doesn’t get many more knocks to the head.

ET was pretty handy as a ball player when he first came over to us. It seemed to be weeded out of his game pretty early on though.

Might be handy to have another ball player in the middle.
