Taylor said something that hurts

Basically we are at a disadvantage of 20-25% every time we take the field when you field the likes of Lovett,Buchanan,Milone and Rankin, and Halatau, then when you add in players who are dissapointing and or are very slowly finding their feet in FG it's little wonder we keep lossing.
Is there any other team in the NRL that continually fields sub standard players as much as the WT?

Jt has no choice but play mediocre players.
We have Robbie and Lawrence sucking up 20% of our cap and we have no money to buy anyone of quality.
Grant was a great buy considering what we have to work with.
Jt is shackled. Blame the front office.

No there is not, other coach's drop players, ours unfortunately has no idea.

Replace them with who exactly?
We aren't in a position to field any better players. We are capped out with a bunch of duds.

The telling issue is Talyor can not get out of the so called plodders anything ,this reflects totally on his inability to motivate anyone …coaches like Bellamy seem to be able to draw out of park footballers when needed to perform and perform well. Taylor might have the mind of a coach to have knowledge of the game but what I am seeing he can not motivate an individual or a group to perform at the top level.I still feel that the team can perform at a top level but I do think Talyor is out of his depth with this bunch.

I look at the current Top 4 sides at the moment, Broncos, Cowboys, Cronulla, Parramatta and say to myself how many of our current side would make it into their line ups. The sad answer is only one. James Tedesco

That means each week we field 16 plodders who can not complete at the highest level hence our position on the ladder for the last couple of years.

I feel sorry for players like Moses, Simona, Ava and Sue who could be much better NRL players if they were surrounded by quality players.

Maybe Teddy should have moved to the Raiders who are a chance at top 8.

I completely agree. I want the guy to turn it around and he can but we have to perform better and Taylor needs to somehow make that happen.

I also agree

BUT

we have to be mindful of the salary JT is on compared to Bellamy (reported as being $1.6M per season).

I don't believe this at all. Sometimes people get paid more money but it doesn't mean that they are worth it.

Taylor should be judged on how well he does with the squad that he has to work with. To be fair to Taylor I really think Brooks has been shocking this season and the club has bet the farm on him.

On the flip side Brooks has a tonne of talent. He has a massive boot, can make some great passes, he can tackle and he is quick. The problem is he has so many mistakes and poor options in his play.

I think it's also obvious that it's not just Brooks that is to blame. Naiqama has been amazing this season but against Newcastle he was terrible.

Could be wrong but I get the feeling when Taylor rolled the dice in the preseason and tried to have Farah removed, and lost, he also lost a lot of his authority around the joint. A lot of that authority was passed on to Pascoe and now Buckets.

I also get the feeling he is under enormous pressure to keep the kids club happy with their contract negations being in the balance.

So he is really in a hard place at present, given the internal rumblings and basically a lack of talent to work with.

I just hope the club either sends him packing ASAP or backs him to the hilt

MCK is streets ahead of Milone, bloody hell NBQ looked like Renouf compared to Milone, there are options, JT just won't use them.

Disagree - I wouldn't say he streets ahead of Milone as a centre maybe as a back rower.

You have not seen him play in the centre for the Wests Tigers = playing in the centre for Manly is a different kettle of fish.

I'll reserve judgement until I see him play centre for us - may only be a cul-de-sac.

Milone has had 4 games in the NRL now, and all of them have been poor.
I don't get it, Taylor is under pressure and he picks this bloke who has no blistering pace, side step or brutal defence, his hands are not great and his passing game is average, he fluffed under pressure at the end of the game last week, there is no upside.

JT has been talking about toughening up for close to a year now, and we're still not there. Is it any wonder people are questioning him?

I want the guy to be successful because I freaken hate watching us lose but he is really the biggest muppet I have ever seen.

He came in here hanging crap on as many people as possible and stated simplistic comments that only a moron would buy. It completely failed last season. Then he handles the Farah situation as poorly as it is possible to handle the situation. Then this season starts out good but now the wheels have fallen off and he doesn't seem to have a clue how to change things around. He sounds better now compared to last year but he really set himself up for failure last year and in the off-season.

I know it's not all his fault but he comes across as so freaken inexperienced.

Just like the team he is trying to win games with, you know the team that gives stupid penalties away on a regular basis, passes thrown to nobody, failing to kick on the last set…on and on it goes Steve, just as you keep repeating the same about Taylor,so does his team of immature NRL players...

Yep. Taylor doesn't seem to be able to get the best out of them does he. I'm glad that we can all see it now.

We really need a couple of wins in a row now. Let's hope they get it together.

And Sheens didn't get the best out of Benji and Farah at crucial times in crucial games

The same issues , same club and still no accountability 16 seasons later

Apart from that he is ok?

I wonder what you think about Mick Potter, Terry Lamb, Junior, most of Sheens' career where we got the same low results.

Am waiting for the day at the after match press conference, when the coach, regardless who they are, just say, "you saw the game, we sucked big time today, no use blaming anyone but ourselves".

Pretty well how our coach described WT effort on Sunday evening.
