Just because people don't like the way the team has been playing doesn't mean they are any less of a supporter.

Why don't we call anyone who accepted the poor form that we have been showing and the stupid tactics of Taylor Ball not a true fan. That seems more likely to me than what these weirdos are stating.

Each to their own I say. The majority of people wouldn't be on this forum if they weren't a supporter.

That win last night is all the sweeter knowing that my support for the team and coach hasn't wavered all season. I'm going outside to catch a crow; now, just how do you post a delicious crow for all the fair weather supporters on this forum?

Did you pat yourself on the back on Friday night?

We might share a club and all support this team but that doesnt make us alike.

For this i am thankful.

ironically i had just got to the end of my patience with taylor and his spin doctor ways were starting to really remind me of ricky stuart the way there was always some excuse. i actually got annoyed when i saw him on tv the other day!!!

fast forward to the game on friday night and suddenly i was thinking "well i'll be buggered: maybe he actually does know what he is doing!"

still, the proof will be seen in time, and with a few wins against full strength, top sides. friday was a welcome and overdue (even if temporary!) alleviation of the weeks of suffering watching the tigers - it reminded me a lot of the games they won in the first half of last season which were awesome.

first game i have really enjoyed watching them for some time - "taylorball" or not, it was still good to watch. finally.

Well I suppose that he did come to us from the Roosters - a very successful club - with a great defensive record, an excellent coaching staff and access to the best in facilities and training methods. It stands to reason that he was privy to, and may have even contributed to some of that success- and he was probably all that we could afford at the moment. Yes , the Roosters have a great roster to work with but they still have to go on the field and perform for the eighty. Whether he can successfully implement that knowledge and the same tactics with our squad remains to be seen. Call it Taylor ball - but history shows that teams that win premierships defensively are one and or two. For our club to get past the "mediocrity" that many complain about - a whole new attitude and approach to defence is a given. Warriors perfect example more natural talent, depth, physicality than most teams, and while they can score plenty of points, how often do they get run down due to their inability to protect a lead? I have no clue whether Taylor is the coach to get this team moving forward but I do believe it all has to start with our dreadful defensive record. For that reason alone I am reserving my judgement.

What Taylor tells the media / public would meen nothing to the players or club anyway. Its just talk for the media. The players and club deal with him personally and I'm sure things aren't anything like that. To me, I feel he is trying to get the team to be consistent and error free first win or lose at the moment but in the end will make them stronger. Errors and consistency have been the tigers biggest problem forever!

Yep.

You know, those who have identified themselves, weren't the ones who I had in mind. I have no issues with anyone being critical of game plans, I was thinking more of threads like "Sack Taylor Now!" and other similar ones before the season is half over. Overall, I reckon that this team, being so young and the coach being new and trying to teach them his brand of football need our support but calling for the coach's head isn't being supportive.

I believe that those who make these threads are fair weather supporters but that's just my opinion and I'm entitled to express it just as anyone else is. If people are so touchy about a little bit of a gentle dig, well, take a deep breath and move on.

that ( sack taylor now ) would be mine, and i still of the opinion that he is on thin ice, but has he had a tap on the shoulder due to the out cry of fans and some high flying people ( JOHNS AND GOULD ) about his style of coaching as the game on friday is the way we need to play not boring bash and kick. if in some way mind or any other supporter on here played a little part , then the forum has done well. i some how doubt it, but it does help easy the pain been able to vent on here and as u say we are all entitled to are view.
