Ok forumers lets be completely honest with ourselves…and I mean honest.,.
JT has a sub standard roster.

If you are being really honest you should see that this is nothing more than YOUR opinion.

I will stick with MY opinion, and give the team,JT credit for an outstanding win against the Storm….

And ill stick with mine, the roster isnt sub standard. Ive been saying this all along, i like our squad!

TITG,I'm not arguing about the squad as such,I very much like our squad..the point I'm making is,until they get to an NRL level and gain further confidence and experience, then we may face some losses again..they are young and learning all the time,we can't go out and buy an NRL squad,we must develope what we have, this is why Taylor has to try and get them to understand all about defensive structure and how it works, the attack will come…

You would have to be happy with the way Taylor had them playing against the Storm last night.....

Players finally executed the game plan and Worked hard in defence.. Moses is killing it… was brilliant in all aspects of his game. Awesome from a 20yr old with 20 nrl games under his belt.

Absolutely, was the most open and free flowing ive seen our attack. The boys actually looked like they enjoyed themselves.

Its an exciting young team, they dont need excuses for their youth they need accountability for their actions.

That and a more rounded structure focusing on both attack and defense.

Seems both players and coach are improving their game.

Exactly. We do not have a terrible roster. There are some gaps mainly out wide and an injury to Simona or Nofo really hurts us as the back-ups aren't first grade standard at the moment.

Overall though we should be going a lot better than we are.

Honestly JT's game plans were so bad earlier this year. I think he is learning but we cannot have a repeat of such a poor start to the year over the next two seasons.

I agree, there is enough talent to win a few more games than we have.

Its unfortunate we arent further along but lets just hope that from here they all including Taylor keep improving.

Spot on Stevetiger.

I have been saying that all year, it's the Coaching and gameplans that have killed us and made us look diabolical.

If we had the $$$ and were able to go in the player Market there is a few that wouldn't be playing 1st Grade I reckon but they will have to do till such time comes around.

I am a massive fan of Cherrington, love his energy he brings to our side has to be on the bench at the very least so he doesn't lose heart and gets tempted to go elsewhere before Farah's Contract is over.

Really what?

The Tigers have always been able to compete with the Storm, they do not play the power game of say the chooks or the dogs. So although happy with the win I still think without some quality recruitment we will struggle against the heavy weights. Maybe the new interchange rule will suit us more than some other clubs, but as far as next year I think we will be marginally better than this year

To provide a confident platform into 2016 leadership, pride and consistency for the full 80 minutes are what this young side has to take into the remaining, all winnable, matches. As we saw last night the morale of this team just skyrockets when they start putting things together.

JT had to stifle the attack so they could learn to defend….get the defense right and the attack will come as tonight proved...it all takes time and if you stick with the WTs next year you will see the great benefit of laying a defensive platform....you never know you may even become a believer....

I wouldn't say we have got our defence right.

Last night's victory came on the back of an up tempo attack whereby both halves and the fullback were heavily involved with ball movement and supporting each other. If one of them did something good, the next play one of the other two got the ball and continued the momentum. An example was the Richards try. 3 plays in a row our play makers attacked the line ending with Teddy wrapping around behind the ruck at speed and hitting Richards. It was a clinical try designed through superior ball movement and speed.

Another contributing factor was the Storms awful ball control. They turned it over regularly. Luckily for us this new attitude to offense capitalized on the opportunities that were presented.

Lastly, we did let in 3 soft tries through very poor goal line defence. The Bromwich try is scored against us by most teams, most weeks. We still don't attack the runners in defence. Look at the forward battle in the chooks dogs game last night. Both packs laid platforms and belted the other resulting in lots of tries in clumps…4 to Roosters then game swung, 5 to Dogs then it swung again, 2 to Roosters for the win. Those momentum swings were achieved through fearless and attacking defence.

I'm still not seeing JT's defence structure at work. I see his offence structures rising including set plays but we still have pretty poor defence.

Our defence structure and technique are still far from good. It was about on par with what we've been seeing.

The difference last night was attitude and enthusiasm. We scrambled great and worked hard to get numbers where they were needed but still a long way to go.

But amazing to see the difference having your tail up gives to the overall performance. Where that feeling comes from is what needs to be enhanced. Last night it seemed to come from being able to play less structured footy?

This team was NEVER a wooden spoon special have thought that all season ,you look at the performance last night and just wonder what has gone wrong we all have our own ideas why . But seeing the guys last night get something for there efforts was great now for a couple more and finish where I thought they would .

They are clearly quite capable if they concentrate for the full 80 or the bulk of the 80 at least

There has been a coaching issue all season. To be fair to JT he has just stated coaching us and that may excuse his pre-conceived ideas. That doesn't excuse the negative game plans and stupid comments in the media.

JT has a decent team to work with and we can win games. We need a coach to get the most out of our squad.

yeah, I thought after flogging the Dogs and then Bunnies that we'd hit our straps….........3rd times a charm?

I think that JT recognises that he has to win games and I think any moron can tell that you need to score more points than you let in so hopefully he gets that as well.

Moving on from that I think he had some stupid ideas when he came here and I think those ideas were that defence was the only thing that mattered. I'm hopeful that he has learnt how dumb that was and that now he is focussing on creating a good team.

I don't think it was dumb - I think they had to learn a lot of that stuff first before opening the attack a little. They still have much to learn in defence and attack but it is getting there. Rome wasn't built in a day. - I know Steve "it is just spin"

Well - they certainly had the Storm in a spin last night.

Good on you JT and Tigers - proud of you all.

The Storm TRIES were pretty soft… all 3 of them...

Storm were terrible at the breakdown. Probably the worst line-speed I have seen from that squad. Add the uncharacteristic mistakes from senior players & a failure to grind in the middle of the park was their downfall.

As a result, we won the battle in the middle (we wernt sensational, just better) and this allowed room for Mitchell to give early & clean ball to his outside men.

I'd say Harris had nightmares all night with Tedesco & Moses haunting him.

Good to get a win!

Not taking anything away from the way the guys played last night, but regarding Taylor's comment that started this thread.
I hope that he watches the video of last nights other game,
And takes notice where the bar is . if he wants to get our side to be able to compete at that level on a regular basis . Probably the best game all year, and Klemmer, Cassiano, and Hargreaves showed how front rowers can influence a game. Great game between two evenly ( on the night ) matched teams.
