I really don't like how he continues to take pot shots at former coaches and players. Saying that we gave up last year and that we basically played soft footy under Sheens. Ok so it might be true Jason, but you are sitting DEAD LAST so quit with the chest beating and blame game. Those coaches had us in and around the 8 plenty of times with injuries a big factor. They never ran last.

He says we don't give pup this year and i hope he is right. I hoe his words don't come back to bite him with games against the Chooks, Broncos, Warriors etc to come? Does he care that we had 2 back rowers playing on the wing last year or its just easy to say we gave up? it a bit childish really. Whilst we have been a failure as a club in general we did make the top 4, 3 times under Sheens and won a comp. So even though i was not his biggest fan after his first 4-5 years he deserves a hell of a lot more respect from a bloke running last in his first season.

Its funny how it has taken until now to describe the salary cap situation as "horrendous" I just think its convenient. I know its bad and i don't doubt they have been left a mess of sorts. However The first 2 months we are in the top 8 and now we are running last first GO and now Taylor are basically throwing their hands up saying they need 3 years before we can make any progress. and saying don't blame us for the mess we are in.

I got no doubts that they were left with some sort of mess like I said. However strong leadership to me would be less blame shifting and more worried about how they can improve things in the short term. Asking for 3-5 years or what ever of running last, fans are not that silly to fall into line with that.

As for all the mumbo, jumbo about his tactics and philosophy. Well lets wait and see but the early verdict is not good. The side is last and has had its best run of injuries in a decade. Sure it is not a great roster by any means, probably a bottom 4 roster although we have some good players.

I think what would win some respect from the fans from these people (Go and Taylor) is to say WE have to take ownership and do a better job ourselves. We are not doing good enough. We have to improve as coaches and board members. Stop shifting blame and throwing your hands up and taking pot shots at ex coaches and ex boards and ex players. Thats easy and to me the fans see straight through it all.

What?

So, we are playing well, except for the small fact that we lose all the time!

Our defence has not improved one jot. And, we have no attacking structure. The salary cap situation is not Jason Taylor's fault, but the fact that we have no attack is.

I find it hard to believe that the players are still 'with him' and his changes. These changes have still never really been expressed or explained. What is he talking about?

I honestly think its getting close to the time to cut our losses again, and bring in big Toddy Payten.

I dont know what Taylor is on but he should either double the dose or stop taking it because he is divorced from reality. As a club we have never looked as bad as we do under his coaching and blaming everyone from the past is pathetic

Taupau unsigned for next year….WHAT....

http://www.zerotackle.com/nrl/rugby-league/teams/wests-tigers/

I'm starting to think I prefer Tim's 'reasons not excuses'...Not buying this Cap excuse at all....if we are indeed over they must be paying Chance Peni $1M dollars...

If we were getting RESULTS on the field we wouldn't be hearing a peep about Salary Cap...take ownership...

Can't go into the market until mid 2018 because we are already over next years cap
Still players here that we would LIKE to re sign.
How will that work, there's not many of our castoff that could be moved elsewhere without us still paying them

Taupau is off contract at end of 2016
The halves are off contract at the end of 2017
By the start of 2018, Enfield Feds AGrade may get a run in our jumpers after all

Does this big headed Muppett have any idea at all.
He says that we are improving, but admits that's not showing on the field.
Well isn't that that his job to make sure it does
Maybe it may mean that his famous "structure " only works when there is no opposition on the other end of the field.
It's time both Taylor AND the board stop blaming everything on someone else. If this board are still finding things that are crook now, after the time that they've already had here , what the Hell have they been doing since they were appointed
How long does it take to get accountants to go through the players contracts?????

Marty is signed for next year GCT and the halves along with Farah come off contract at the end of 2017….

Yeah your right Geo, I meant to say at end of 2016 ,
I was under the impression that the halves third year was an option in their favour. sorry for all the possible heart attacks that could've brought on :astonished:

What a load of crap, from someone who won't admit he's got it wrong. JT should let the players he has play the way they did to get themselves into first grade and not try and change them now that they are. That will never work. How about trying to get the best out of the squad you have rather than trying to turn the squad into something they are not. JT has loser written all over his style.

A number of things seem to be taking shape with all this projected gloom regarding the cap:

1\. It probably leaves a smoking gun regarding Mayer's demise
2\. I reckon there could be an element of "under promise and over deliver" regarding performances here.
3\. Probably signals a further off season clean out. They're just getting us ready for it.
4\. An attempt to deflect criticism regarding Blake Austin leaving
5\. Prepare everyone for another lean year(s) for Tigers to be active in the player market.

Smart move really when you think about it although still doesn't excuse the dreadful play we are currently tormented with.

The fact that Taylor aligns his "solution" with people like Phil Moss, he is guaranteeing his position is untouchable, despite what all of us are seeing on a weekly basis.

It's the board that has to act to get rid of Taylor, and, according to Taylor and my viewing of the Go interview, they are rock-solid with him.

So, basically, we're screwed for this season and the next couple. Hardly an inspiring slogan to get members to recommit or new ones to join.

Taylor is a loser plain and simple! Looks like Moses wants out, when this is happening and players are not happy with the coach it will not be long before someone walks how many more think as Moses.
It seems very convenient that Go and Taylor are reading from the same song book now that the first wooden spoon for our club is around the corner.
The same garbage is in the Tele this morning , Taylor is trying to deflect the fact he is a bad coach and is slowly destroying our club, yes there were problems at the club Re finances this is seperate from what is happening on the field week to week. Good injury report/good draw/ good weather most games a pretty good roster the one variable a CRAP COACH!

JT is the worst rookie coach that I ever seen and articles like that just compound how bad he is for our team.

We have gone backwards. Our tactics/strategy/game plans to win games have been terrible. Blaming previous coaches and administrations for where we are today is a joke and shows no accountability.
