Taylor's current thoughts - SMH

@Snake said:
Taylor is a loser plain and simple! Looks like Moses wants out, when this is happening and players are not happy with the coach it will not be long before someone walks how many more think as Moses.
It seems very convenient that Go and Taylor are reading from the same song book now that the first wooden spoon for our club is around the corner.
The same garbage is in the Tele this morning , Taylor is trying to deflect the fact he is a bad coach and is slowly destroying our club, yes there were problems at the club Re finances this is seperate from what is happening on the field week to week. Good injury report/good draw/ good weather most games a pretty good roster the one variable a CRAP COACH!

Exactly Snake. How in the hell does all of that financial stuff affect the performance of individuals every week? Their lack of attacking ability (we are so boring and predictable), bizarre selections and interchange decisions and brittle edge defence ARE NOT the result of shenanigans in the offices at Concord.

Where is the variation in tactics to try an counter the strengths of the opposition each week? Can Taylor analyse a game and develop a plan accordingly? It sure as hell doesn't seem like it!

But, Taylor and the board have planted the seed that it will all get better eventually so we just have to put up with this crap each week.

Well, count me out. I'm not buying it, one little bit.

If I was in Moses shoes I would get out of the place a quickly as I could. His game is being stifled and is being made to play a style that he is not suited to. As a result he looks bad, very bad and is not fulfilling his potential.

Taylor will go before Moses. The club will not allow its future in Brooks and Moses to leave because of the coach. Taylor is replaceable.

Last year it looked like the players gave up in attempt to remove the coach.

With Taylor seemingly assured his position this doesnt leave much option for disgruntled players. They get over it or they ask for a release.

Fans are fans for life, players on the other hand have 15 other clubs that can possibly offer them better pay, better conditions and more chance of enjoying their footy.

My money is on this process starting already.

What?

So, we are playing well, except for the small fact that we lose all the time!

Our defence has not improved one jot. And, we have no attacking structure. The salary cap situation is not Jason Taylor's fault, but the fact that we have no attack is.

I find it hard to believe that the players are still 'with him' and his changes. These changes have still never really been expressed or explained. What is he talking about?

I honestly think its getting close to the time to cut our losses again, and bring in big Toddy Payten.

Do not want any white anters at the Tigers thanks.

Is he the best you can come with.

Bennet and Bellamy wouldn't do any better than JT with what we have, let alone Payton - he has even less experience - and none in the NRL.

Taylor should leave the financials to the people who are hired to do it. Being Boring & Predictable is not a salary cap problem, its a coaching problem.

We are a football team which has gained 50% possession for most of the year, we have good kick meters and are one of the better teams with tackle breaks. We are down the right end of the field, but seem to lack the ability to build and maintain that possession.

One of the biggest differences to last year which stands out to me is the lack of dummy-half runs and off-loads. Granted the lack of linebreaks is a reflection of our Centres, but the remainder is a coaching problem.

Let them loose Taylor… Let them loose. It will cost the salary cap nothing!!!

How many more of these hate Taylor diatribes do we have to have? I for one am bloody sick of the lot of you.

Get it through your thick heads that the last lot at this club totally screwed everything, and I mean everything.

Get some patience and stop crapping all over our team.

Jason Taylor can't be blamed for the Salary Cap mess he's walked into no doubt .

Whatever has happened .. Its done now, and we have to hope we are taking the steps to rectify it and whilst talk is cheap let's see if that's backed up now..

As Eddie and others have said and many others agree –-- our squad is a bottom 4 side... So what did we really expect this year ????

We are sitting at the bottom Of the ladder and pretty much appropriate to our roster... Why are we so surprised and upset ? Sure , I'm upset also but if u take all the emotion and blind faith out, u do realize this.

We have mis-managed the cap for years it seems and on top of paying people that are not even with us anymore we also must have some guys being payed much more then they are worth in regards their ability or playing ability etc.

The issue is why is our squad lacking and why are we in such a bad state with our salary cap... The people in charge now ( I think ) had nothing to do with past failings and are trying to right the wrongs.. Isn't this a good thing ?

So Taylor and the new board deserve a chance..

And this is where we are at... So I don't really know why the hate and hysteria.. That should all be directed at previous admin etc ..

we just have to hope the young guys can step up and a few go to another level. If this happens we may be a chance of improving next year to be around bottom Of the 8, but outside of that. It does seem we will be around the bottom 4 for the next 2 years at least and based on our squad that's about right.

The current regime definitely deserve credit for tackling the salary cap stuff head on, especially given that it appears Mayer was fairly complicit in the issues.

As for on field stuff - JT is talking the talk, but I'm not seeing any of it on the pitch. Our defence definitely does need to improve, and our club is in dire need of 'toughening up'.
However, I'm not seeing any of this transition on game day.
The first few (7-8) rounds showed some promise - our defence was noticeably better, we matched some big teams through the middle and had a few decent results.
Since the first bye and the Roosters game it's been awful stuff, with no real progression in any facet - rather I'd argue we've gone backwards in many areas. Meanwhile JT keeps saying we're improving…
We've obviously gotta give him time (what other choices do we have?!), but I'd be lying if I said I'm really confident in what he's doing.

ashman what people have been complaining about is the way and style of play we have been playing and the poor game plans to certain games .
We are as boring as hell , the game vs Cowboys at Campbelltown was so pathetically boring and still kept playing the same way throughout the whole game and wasn't prepared to change the style of play , 2-0 till the 78th minute :unamused: .

When your Coach comes out and says they have improved how they play :bash before admitting that maybe some game plans his implied have been wrong , well you know his a desperate Man IMO.

He is trying to change the style of how certain players play there natural game instead of allowing there natural talent to shine….like your Moses , Brooks etc.

I don't get it..why do we still have to pay players like adam blair who asked for a release and the tigers granted it.in my eyes if you want to go then the contract should be terminated.same thing with Austin, marshall and whoever else.thats why I cant understand why we are in this position.

We have to look forward now i get that but ….You know that's what makes me more frustrated Potter was going just fine till he had a terrible run of injuries and the board and Management didn't allow him to have some control .

Anyway we live in hope that something good will happen.
