Watto My only concern with Dwyer is can he foot it with many of the outside backs in NRL and is he nimble enough to cope with their footwork .Worry about his hands in attack also can be suspect in that area .

I hope Gibbs is back this week. If he is I would start him on the bench ahead of J Schirnack.

Like most people have said Daniela and Brown would be my centre and winger and leave Moltzen on the bench. Both have played well when given the opportunity. Daniela has pace to burn and with Marshall serving it up on a plate he could be in for a number of tries.

I see merit in starting with Woods at prop (seemed to play big minutes on Saturday and very impressed with his defence and attack) and using Fifita off the bench in an impact role. (still appears a bit lazy but impressed with his form compared to the back of last year where he seemed overweight).

Given the injuries it is best to not make too many changes. Leave McKinnon at full back at the moment.

Like Payten coming off the bench and starting with A Schirnack.

Dwyer needs to step up to retain his place.

I remember years ago Canberra tried the greatest lock of all time, Bradley Clyde at centre due to a massive injury toll and as great a player he was he was found out at centre. Dwyer should not play centre unless injuries during the game forces him to play there.

Moltzen's defence is my concern with him playing centre. His attack and understanding with Marshall is a plus.

Still would like Sheens to use the bench better. J Schirnack hardly got any game time.

We have to remember that a vast majority of the points we score have come from the left hand edge of Lawrence & Tuquiri. With those two on the sidelines for quite some time we have to find another way to score points otherwise will reduce the effect Benji can have on games.
The predictable thing to do would be to put Daniela in to replace Lawrence and Brown to replace Tuquiri. Now I like both Brown and Daniela as footballers, but at the end of the day they aren`t the same quality as Lawrence & Tuquiri, Daniela is a much different footballer to Lawrence in that he likes to use his speed rather than bust through tackles as Lawrence can do. I really believe we will struggle to score points unless we change things up a bit and playing Moltzen at fullback would be the first change i`d be making.

If Gibbs is still not fit, Dwyer in for him. The Schirnack boys have been playing very well and deserve to retain their spots.

you have someone who has been playing in the Prop rotation in recent weeks in the centres….the kid is stuggling with his lateral defense and you want him defending in one of the toughest positions on the field.....is your name Brian Smith.???????

I think having Daniella and Utai on the same side is going to be a problem in terms of height. At the moment we have Ayshford covering Bombs for Utai, and if we switch sides, both Daniella and Utai are gong to struggle under the high ball.

That, and also Brown and Daniella are a combination which know each other from state cup. Why break that up?

1\. McKinnon
2\. Brown

4\. Daniela

12\. Payten
13\. Heighington
14\. Moltzen
15\. Woods
16\. Dwyer
17\. A.Schirnack
18\. Miller ( backup if lui doesnt play)

I was also wondering if George Ndaira former souths, knights and dragons whos playing for BRET could be eligble to play for first grade for us, could fill in in the halves and play back up hooker to Robbie, thoughts?

Judging by Sheens` comments on 2sm this afternoon, it sounded like Lui is not much chance at all of playing against the Roosters.

Geez Dwyer in the centres? Did anyone else see his handling of Canberra's last try when he was filling in out there?

My team
McKinnon
Utai
Ayshford
Daniella
Brown
Marshall
Miller
Heighnington
Dwyer
Payten
Galloway
Farah
Fifita

Moltzen
Shirnack
Shirnack
Woods

I think that will be the team, but Moltzen will be 7\. is Gibbs a chance for this week?
I think Meaney will be the back on the bench as he can cover a few positions and was even playing hooker in the trials.

FTR it was Brown and Rhys Curran warming up with the team on Saturday night.

If Lui is out it is a blow but we have the back up.

Assuming Lui is out and nobody returns (Gibbs) my team would be

1\. McKinnon
2\. Brown
3\. Daniela
4\. Ayshford
5\. Utai

6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen

8\. Fifita
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Dwyer
12\. A. Schirnack
13\. Heighno

14\. Ndaira
15\. Woods
16\. Payten
17\. J Schirnack

If Gibbs is back Payten to start in the backrow, Dwyer to the bench and Jase to State Cup.

Ndaira is the perfect replacemnt for the bench as he covers hooker and the halves and is more than competant doing so. He has the experience of guiding sides around and won't be overawed.

I would love to say Meaney but he is a 5/8 and not a half if Moltz needs replacing and whilst he would fill in at hooker I think he would see no game time. Farlow is the other option of course

We're up s*** creek im afraid

We'll be right, still have a creative and relatively experienced halves combo and our forwards have stood up to be counted. I'm only worried about our left side being exploited now, but Daniela and Brown aren't mugs and I expect they will do the job well.

I'm thinking Lui will be named so:

1 - McKinnon
2 - Brown
3 - Ayshford
4 - Moltzen
5 - Utai
6 - Marshall
7 - Lui
13 - Rhino
12 - Payten
11 - Dwyer
10 - KG
9 - Farah
8 - Fifita
–------------------
14 - Daniella
15 - Woods
16 - J Shirnack
17 - A Shirnack

If Lui is out, Moltzen will play HB, Geoff D will move to centre and another back will come on to the bench. Probably Meaney.

McKinnon
Brown
Daniella
Ayshford
Utai
Marshall
Moltzen
Heighno
Payten
Dwyer
Galloway
Farah
Fifita

Woods
A Shirnack
J Shirnack
Meaney

Matty Hyland was there but definatley Rhys warming up.

Good experience and glad he got the opportunity. He has been consistent in form for BRET for the last 14 months
