Team for next week

Why would you add another player to the team with no nrl experiance? We have lost our Halfback just replace the Halfback position and leave the rest of the team the way it is simple. The reason we are pissed at Sheens is because he has re shuffled 5 positions just because we lost our halfback and in your above team you've done the same but added an extra element with another kid playing fullback why?
I think team you have picked is worse than what Sheens dished up last night.

The rumor doing the rounds at the wests game yesterday is that wests halfback NATHAN WATERS is now training with first grade.. :astonished:

That's all I needed to hear….This HAS to be the team next week if we want to smash the Rooters...

1\. Beau Ryan...it's a no brainer
2\. Lote Tuqiri....see Ryan
3\. Nu Akeripa or Willie Mataka....don't care which...young big strong footballers who can tackle...would be Dwyer but for fitness.....
4\. Chris Lawrence....expecting a huge game from Lawrence at his home ground..
5\. Blake Ayshford....he's playing like a winger anyway...

6\. Benji Marshall....cause he's Benji Marshall...
7\. Robbie Farah...he is there half the time anyway...

8\. Bryce Gibbs...stop reading your own face book and RUN...
9\. Chris Corby.....at least he's a specialist hooker.....
10.Keith Galloway.....you had 1 game to shake the rust off....liken' the offload but there is a time and a place...
11\. Liam Fulton....notice when he switched you back to the right last night the Panfers scored up the guts and on the left....coincedence...start on the right...
12\. Gareth Ellis....well just do what you do..
13\. Chris Heighington....play like you have every week this year...Mr Consistancy

14\. Andrew Fifita...the more game time this week the better ...Knowing Sheens though Andrew's probably looking at a spell in State Cup...
15\. Todd Payten...get them massive calves of yours on the field
16\. Junior Moors...as a backrower Sheens wide.....he'd do damage....
17\. Mark Flanagan ......more time for him too.....

Akeripa , is slowly getting back to his best form ,from an ankle injury he suffered in the off season, in only his 3rd game back , leo has used him off the bench , yesterday he scored a 60 meter try out wide ,running like a billy slater.he also pulled of one of the biggest hits iv'e seen for a while in last weeks game, he is big ,fast ,and powerful..

Not a bad side, but I would bring in Mullaney at fullback, did you see his game yesterday? A dead set point scoring freak.

Ryan to the wing, Moors to play ONLY second row and wide of the ruck. And that is it.

Yeah, I saw Mullaney play yesterday and he was very good in the second half. I maintain that Ryan is the best option at fullback however. He thrives on the extra workload and makes so many more metres at fullback compared to the wing it's not funny. Last night he made 85 metres or so compared to the 200+ he was averaging at fullback.

Mullaney could well be a better support player, but first grade is a different story and Ryan at fullback is the answer IMO with a genuine winger playing on the right wing. The Tigers attack looked so much more potent this way prior to the last 2 weeks.

I'd like to find a spot for him somewhere in the 17\. Could be good value off the bench with his size and speed, plus he can play in the backrow or in the centres.

Ryan or Meaney at the back. No other options to be considered unless Lote makes the move there. We need to get rolling from our kick returns or we get dominated on tackles two and three.

Farah should not be moved from hooker. We get alot of our direction because we have a genuine playmaking option at the ruck. Move him one wide as often as we did last night and the opposition knows the dummy half is just shovelling or scooting therefore the markers don't have to mwork to engage.

I'll go with that too, but with one further change: Coach - Steve Folkes

**Simon Dwyer** should nearly be ready to come back to the bench. He played 80 minutes for the Magpies score a try and one very good try assist with Gus Aiga (Replay of the grandfinal try assist with Mullaney last year). :righton:

I do not mind Ryan at the back. he is safe under the high ball and can be relied upon in defence but does anyone else think he needs to work on his support play? You look at the great fullbacks at the moment ( Gidley, Slater, Hayne) they are always trailing through ready to accept a pass. Ryan seems not to do this and hasn't seemed to get the idea of how to chime into the backline create the extra man and ball play to otuside men.

I must admit Mullaney's attack is so much better than Beaus.

In my opinion, Beau is a negative for our attack

Ryan's support play is not as good as Mullaney's, but fact of the matter is, he attacks the ball and brings it back straight and hard. This puts the Tigers on the front foot from tackle 1, this is vital at the start of any set. We haven't had this for the last 2 weeks and it has definitely hurt the team.

Mullaney may well be carving up in the 20's, but it's a big step up to FG and he doesn't bring the ball back in the same fashion as Ryan and is defence is not up to scratch. I'd run him in State Cup to see how he goes there before considering him for FG.
