I think that jumping to the big early lead hurt them as they thought that it would be too easy, D'oh!.

they made it look so easy - then mentally they collapsed in the second half. That's a big problem. Good luck fixing that before the semi's. The problem in First grade is only goal kicking. Less complicated. Or so it seems.

It was a very disappointing game. The boys never showed up, were woeful in attack and defence. Our attack was so disjointed, yet was carried by some short balls to big guys close to the line.
Bartley's defence was atrocious so that's why he would have been cut. His left side defence let in nearly all their points. Between McCormack, Bartley and Tali they let in try after try. There were constantly massive gaps right on our try line, all it took was a step or short ball and they could score every time.
This team is just like that though. Super inconsistent all season. This was a team well below us on the ladder and we thought we'd just coast it and win by 50 even though we weren't playing well despite leading 22-6.
Mapesone will never play first grade. I'd be worried if the club genuinely believed he could. At least, not until he can show a modicum of consistency. An ultimate rocks and diamonds player. Goes all or nothing on every play which leads to a lot of mistakes.
But in the end it was all decision making, they're young, but all players made some very poor decisions in either attack or defence at times.
We let in 30 points in 25 mins after being up by 16\. Peters should rightfully be ripping into them at training this week!
