That was such a lazy and atrocious performance.
This would be perhaps the most mentally fragile NYC side we've ever had. Also a massive lack of leadership in the field. Like we have in all 3 grades.
To concede so many late tries is disgraceful, to then concede a penalty in the 79th minute in a tied game, which we only needed to draw, for being in front of the kicker from a short kickoff is mindblowing. To attempt a one on one strip, in a 3 man tackle, 30m out straight in front of the posts with 5 seconds left is just beyond belief.
These kids just have no idea how to win, unless it comes easy with a big score. That attitude can be hard to teach. The lack of focus and discpline, even in a league not noted for defence, is simply not good enough if they want to play NRL.
Although after watching thr first graders play you can see this mental toughness isn't easy to come by. We've been weak for far too long. Last week was the most encouraging win of the year.
We should watch the Titans play more to get an idea how a lesser team can remain competitve no matter the opposition
