Does any1 believe we will just be complaining of same issues in the next 10 yrs
I think it's clear now the non Sydney teams have a huge financial and player management advantage third party deals
Broncos Cowboys storm don't compete for players like Sydney teams
Even now raiders are building a future
Sharks have there advantage as well great place for players to live and play

I accept now the salary cap don't matter to much we will always be the roosters and Bulldogs poorsydney cousin

Maybe we can be the next team to go bankrupt in southern QLD, but I reckon the NRL will bail the Titans out a couple more times before that happens.

We just need success and fans rolling through the gate then all of this will be forgotten

Remember Cronulla were in a similar position to us, now look where they are

Like I said the Sharks having a much better selling point to cashed up players Live and train in the shire they don't seem to struggle to keep players or pick up new players

Or come and train at parramatta Rd with tigers sucking in the traffic fumes
I think league is just business now it's all about the Broncos on Friday night ratings and we are just the old Wests Tigers relic symbol that just battles on
We I'll eventually sack Taylor and give new coach honeymoon period then put shit on him with same resources

yeah, sure, like super strong clubs like Titans and Knights, please explain :crazy

To relocate would be a very very last resort solution and to be honest all the league strong hold markets are already taken. We would have to go to either Perth or South QLD. In South Qld we would be in compertion with the Bronks and the Titains, and in Perth your going into a city that has two AFL teams, a Rugby team and A A league team. Their economy is in free fall after the mining boom has died.

There is no easy solution to our problems but I think Pascoe is a very smart operator and he will get us pointed in the right direction. I would bet money we will have a new coach in 2017 and maybe one or two good buys

Didn't realise the players had to live in the area? Only 45m from Cronulla to Liverpool.

No rules have changed champ can. Live anywhere nice traffic between Cronulla livo

Just can't put my finger on it why we struggle to compete in player market and how many keebra park kids can't get away fast enough. U know they must love leaving qld to train at concord ?
Let's face it if u were a cashed up young bloke u not coming to tigers unless u get overs

All but 1 of bottom 7 teams are a nsw team ?? Interesting
Don't. Compare knights to Broncos Cowboys we all know what happen to them and Titans are building against the Broncos tough to do

I have been saying that for at least three years, but I'm not as heavily involved as some on here, as Icant go to every game anyway, so won't lose as much as some others.
So I understand the reluctance of local supporters,
My question has always been, would you rather see Wests play the teams in Sydney approx once a year , and all their home games in Perth, (for instance) on TV.
Or
Take the risk of eventually be relocated to somewhere that the NRL tells us to go.
The fact that we've already merged keeps being raised as something that will stop us from being moved.
People forget that this NRL isn't the same as it was 16 years ago. It's
ALL about money, and they've said that they want a team eventually in Perth
So rather than doing what we've always done by being reactive, for once we should be Proactive and have a say in our future

If anyone really doesn't think that Penrith and The Dogs & Parra, can't or won't eventually be strong( especially The Panthers) enough to cover the outer west, I hope your right, but I still think we will never be financial enough, to compete with those clubs.
No one ever used to think that a Soo game would be played out of Qld or Nsw , but not only that is here, but now there's talks of 1 game in Qld, and one in NSW eEVERY
Year. As well as possibly games played overseas .
And Eventually you wILL eventually see GFs played outside Sydney.
Make no mistake. There will be no loyalty, the NRL is a business, and Sydney teams WILL go . We are getting more cash in 2018, but everyone is getting the same. It's not a magic bullet. We still won't be able to compete, just as up until , now we hardly ever have been able to

We very seldom have had sucess so far, but your right that what brings in the fans .
Cronulla are in just as much danger as we are, more than one teams will eventually go in Sydney, and Cronulla have a better financial situation than us.
Don't they own the land around their Leages Club., and isn't that in the process of being developed. ( others will probably know more than I do about that.

Tv stations need coverage in as many capital cities as they can get, and more games on TV, thus the attraction of places like Perth, where people have already shown an attraction for RL.
You would think that any team relocating would be given any necessary help

Pascoe isn't a magician, and has to work with what he's got
And at the moment, he's got one of a few ugly sisters of the NRL.

I somehow don't think Wests Ashfield would have done a deal with the NRL in paying Balmains debt and taking control of the board only to be relocated somewhere else.

Look i wish for success I supported Balmain and grew up in Campbelltown area I Understand the issues but think realisticly

If u were a player manager with top talent
Do u shop him to which Sydney club ??
Roosters Bulldogs Souths sharks eels or tigers ?

Gun juniors careers that have stalled lately
Moses
Brooks
Sironen
Tedesco. Doing well considering
Other gun juniors have left or got out of contract. Jordan Kahu

Comments by Adam Blair that players needed extra training sessions to get to level needed.
Wonder if he needs the extra training at Broncos

For basically the last decade and others will say from day one we have been run by either well meaning ineffectual people, or self minded people with very little interest in both sides of the joint venture. We finally have a CEO who seems determined to get the job done. Okay it will not happen in six months but it may at least start to take shape. I would imagine come October there will be plenty of changes on and off the field…and hopefully for the better

That's true - I'm just saying I don't think Wests Ashfield would fork out 8.5 mil without assurances from the NRL that the club won't be relocated.

I can understand your opinion, and to a degree, I agree with you , but I just think we'l be sticking band aids on a major wound, it's only my opinion, but I think it's all too late.
It doesn't matter who is running the joint( and I think that Pascoe is doing okay)
But there's so many problems we have that most other clubs don't have, we don't even have one home game ground . We look like the nomads of the league
We need to be somewhere where we don't have to compete for fans , money etc
And a one team town is about the best we can do,
As for someone comparing us with Newcastle and Gold Coast
Not capital Cities, but I have a feeling that assistance is not far away in some way is not that far away in at least one of those clubs
