Mate - come on. You can't move Doueihi out of the halves. He is like 100 times better than Brooks. You can drop Brooks. You don't move players around to accommodate Brooks.

Brooks and Api were far from fit, and had very little pre-season. Let's give them some time, calf injuries have limited their training with the side. We lack penetration, speed and ability in the backs , that is our biggest problem. This was our first game, many expected too much.

100% agree. Haven't seen the first half yet, got home as AD was scoring his try, but the scoreline is pretty much exactly what I expected. The reviews of the game is pretty much exactly what I expected.
Not sure how bad Brooks first half was (and I believe it must have been pretty bad) but we're people really expecting a guy playing his first game in 6 months in a new system with an injury hampered preseason to come out and kill it?

I am not really worried about the dropped balls.

I am worried about the first 20 mins where we were camped down there and had all the ball.

Luke came up with absolutely nothing and failed to control a set.

I.e. the same as always.

Overall stats 45/8 in our favour inside 22. Says something about our organisation and attack don’t you think.

Brooks will not be dropped for wakeham so that means you keep AD at 6 and Laurie goes to reserve grade.

Where do you put Laurie, at 6
Move AD to ball playing lock what is the difference instead of being on an edge AD can roam.As for his defence at lock we has other forward that can help tackle

In saying that Wakeham is not the answer, we are 100's to get Moses if he watched yesterday, go out and get Williams or Welsby or both. Lets stop flogging a dead horse.

Looks like he needs to learn how to count numbers and read plays.

It is too late in his career to hope though.

There was a segment on FOX a couple of years ago where Cooper Cronk did a video on Luke vs 12 men. The opp had a player binned and Cronk showed the video...and pointed out Brooks went to the side WITH all their defenders every time. I.e. he never attacked the side that was short a man.

He has no footy IQ.

And he runs our team.

God dammit. Bring in Wakeham - he keeps it simple but effective, from what I've seen.

Maybe he can but he can also play 6 or 7 and he is clearly the best player in those positions. Brooks and Laurie are the ones that don't look like first graders. If we had 3 AD's Brooks and Laurie don't make the team.

Well then we will keep enjoying years of not playing finals… I said it to friends & family all pre season I was trying to be optimistic but so long as Brooks is our 7 I have no faith we will make the 8, he is on $1.1 mill a season & week in week out he dishes up crap it’s beyond a joke. I personally don’t think Wakeham is the answer as he’s struggled in the NRL as well but something needs to be done… we cannot keep sticking with Brooks.

It’s like i’m watching the movie groundhog day everytime I watch him play.

There is no way a competent club would pay Moses what he wants or offer Brooks another contract unless something drastically changes.

What is NSW Cup for , if players are short of a run let them get their fitness there, doesn't matter who they are or what they're being paid. We played people who were way down on fitness and match conditions , an early injury in the game and we were in trouble.

I don't think you can accuse Laurie of having no heart, he plays above his weight his positional play at times is atrocious. This is probably why we dont want him on a long term deal, i think he's seen as a stop gap or back up option in a couple of positions.
