Team v Roosters trial

2, 3, 7, 8, 10, 12 & 14 the most interesting for mine.

Obviously hope others aim up but those guys must be in the mix for regular FG.

Not a very exciting lineup of second stringers but that's what we were expecting,

Looking forward to seeing Moors, Godinet, Haywood, Saukuru, Tavana, Brooks, Andrews and Attard to see how strong this wave of talked up juniors are.

Herbert is interesting as well to see if he's a good pickup as cover for the outside backs.
Although it’s always nice to win, we really just hope to see a couple of lesser profile or younger emerging players stand up and be counted and show signs tthey are capable of playing more regular NRL sooner than later.
We want Jock Madden to take plenty of control and demonstrate a good kicking game, we want Tristan Hope to play tough and tackle like a demon, we want young Makasini to show a few more glimpses of his quality, we want Heath Mason to get back to his form from late 2024 when he was playing very well as our NRL filll in for Jahream, we want Sione to demonstrate his quality and show why almost all of us are scratching our heads as to why there is uncertainty about him being in our top 17.
I’m interested to watch Luke Laulilli rip and tear, intersted to see if his brother Kit have a red hot crack and push his claims for NRL selection, interested to see if Patrick Herbert will be at his aggressive best, interested to see if Tino Tavana will make the most of his opportunity and interested to see how all our younger and less experienced players, particularly the forwards go.

We could really use a few lesser known forwards to become FG ready in a hurry.

Absolutely and this is their chance to show everyone what they have got.
Absolutely, I’d be resting 6-7 proven guys the following week also. If they’re at peak fitness they’ll handle round two without a trial.

I understand others will disagree and that’s fine.

The Witzer $100k is not worth an injury, but I reckon we'll win this one.

I want to see Makasini and Attard show their pedigree. They are our future.

Where would Attard play if not at fullback? Bula has that role for the next half decade

As a utility in the extended squad to start of with, floating from 2, 5 or 1 if injuries occur. I see Heath as a 9, not a 1. His body is built for foraging metres.

Attard will be our future if Bula doesn't put pen to paper.

My only concern is we have a large gap between our 1st NRL game and will have 1 run under the belt. Last year we started terribly.

Cowboys by our 1st game will have 2 runs as an NRL team based on team named for the weekend.

Based on team lists Roosters should win with a large gap.
