Team v Souths - 1 change

If he finds that performance unacceptable how in the bloody hell do you only make one change? I'm seriously perplexed.

It's only a matter of time for JT as the boys club has defeated him.

So the boys club choose the team did they ? I reckon Taylor choose the team. There are also no changes. Simone comes back from suspension and that is it.

Let's see how they go.

Well Naiqama Halatua Grant must all be going to play as there is only 17 named….what's the bet we don't finish with 17 again.

What's the bet we don't finish with a coach.

Meaning that JT has no balls in dropping any player to State Cup, you Seriously can't tell me that he can't find one player that needs a stint in Reserve Grade after such thrashing 😱pen_mouth:.

Hence why I said the Boys club has defeated JT.

It is a psychological move by JT.

Having no changes made from the flogging in Canberra bar the return of Tim, they will all get a boost of confidence after Thursday because there is no way they can go worse than last Saturday

Exactly. After the CEO's comments, those 17 players from Saturday were always going to get a chance at redemption and hopefully, play for their careers. Milone the only unluckly player but that was always going to happen, even if we won by 60, with Simona back from suspension.

The performance on Thursday and Taylor's subsequent actions with the 18 day break till the next match are key. That is enough time to ring some changes and train accordingly.

I think Taylor picks the team and he has probably picked the team he thinks can win the game or the best possible team. I don't think it has anything to do with the players picking the team.

As for picking other players if I was Taylor I would have tried something at the very least. Griffin, MCK, Littlejohn, Cherrington, someone else.

I cannot believe JAC was left out again and Rankin was selected. We are going to end up losing JAC to a club that is willing to select teams on performance. It is a bit of worry to see Chee Kam's father comment on the Wests Tigers Facebook team announcement that he feels his son will never get a chance no matter how well he performs. He also stated that he thinks he made a mistake coming to the club and hopes and prays that he goes to another club.

Its not just last weeks smashing. Most of these players are looking at a 7th straight loss. How on Earth the exact same team is picked over and over is beyond comprehension.

This is the issue isn't it. Surely we have some players performing in the lower grades and we need to make a change or two.

Halatau, Naiqama, Lovett, Aloiai, Brooks, Sirro, Nofo and even Sue all somewhat lucky to be named. All those forwards mentioned are bench players at best.

None bar maybe Brooks would be in the top 17 for any other NRL side this year.

However, with only 1 on field training session before the game (today) there isn't a lot of opportunity to work on new combos in match training. After a big thumping it's also not unheard of to give the players a chance to respond on the field to see who has it in them. Those who don't perform again are then dropped.

Given there's a long break after the Souths game that would be the opportune moment to work on new combinations.

This is a fair point - also the NSW cup guys would only have a 4 day turnaround. JT is a conservative, safe coach, so no surprise that he's gone the safe option here.
That said, desperate times call for desperate measures, and we're now chasing our 7th successive loss with pretty much the same team (no changes on merit at least). That is incredible IMO.

Why does Milone get off scott free when this weeks game is about the players redeeming themselves ..
Pride in the Jersey and all that crap .

Im not as quick to kill Taylor.

Ill reserve my judgement until after the game and see what performances are dealt.

Must admit, im getting antsy, but ill still wait. There must be something going on that we dont know about. No one, not even Taylor is that stupid.

Certainly has the support of many respectable people in the media who know far more than we do, so ill wait and see.

I can because JAC is injured..

Well he certainly has rolled the dice with the "pick and stick" approach this week. I just hope it doesn't come up snake eyes for JT. If we get flogged again I fear that might be the beginning of the end.

I think if he made a few changes (JAC and MCK) he might be able to stave off those calling for his demise as they could see he was trying something new.

(If Milone gets the nod if Kevvy is not available then the site will go into meltdown!)
