Team vs Dragons.

lol… bad example. Moi Moi was hoping to be tackled after running that far.

Timmy is good in attack the majority of time, but his defence is terrible. He doesnt want to attack the ball runners to apply pressure and is constantly standing on his heels.

He needs to get a video compilation of Karmichael Hunt and watch what he used to do once the opposition created a linebreak!

The only thing I would be concerned about is playing Koro and Simona next to each other, purely due to experience. So I'd be happy with Moltzen to fullback and Simona to bench.

Moltzen has talent and speed which we need but he's just such a pussy that it annoys me. He's a confidence player so I'm not 100% on benching him, and I know he's just come back from an injury, but in saying that he's a professional rugby league player so harden up and do your job.

But that'd be my side.

I cant get over how much of a cat moltzen is. The only time he isn't a cat is when he's in open space and no one can touch him.

Yeah , looked petrified when he pulled a runaway Moi Moi down one on one. :unamused:
Put you in the same positiion steve-o and I'm pretty sure you would have needed a change of undies.

Not only did Moi Moi run through six of our forward pack, and some others only to get pulled down by that gutless waste of space Moltzen, but the very next play, the Eels ran through the same six forward pack and a few others only to have that gutless waste of space Moltzen almost stop Mullaney from scoring. I suppose you are going to blame Moltzen for not being in perfect position. And yes, the sarcastic meter just fell off the bench.

If some others made that same effort, we wouldn't be talking about how our team are battling for 8th spot.

And whilst I agree that his defence can be untidy, He doesn't have the luxury of a tough forward pack stopping the attacking team everytime. He doesn't have the luxury of standing back and knowing where his next threat is coming from so he can position himself perfectly. He has to stand there and expect anything at anytime from anyone. I wouldn't like to be in his shoes. You will note that when Beau Ryan or anyone else has played fullback this year, they have have the same problems to contend with, and no one, even on here has been able to definitively choose a good fullback week in week out.

I expect Sheens to name close to the same team, but id make a few changes.

1\. Ryan
2\. Koroibete
3\. Ayshford
4\. Simona
5\. Utai
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen
8\. Galloway
9\. Farah
10.Woods
11.Blair
12.Fulton
13.Ellis

14.Heighno
15.BMM
16.Bell
17.Moors

Notes:
* I don't think Ryan at centre really works, I thought Simona did a pretty good job in the last twenty as well.
* Tough on who to bench from the back row, you could flick a coin.

In saying all this I don't expect any changes from 1-13, I just expect BMM to come in and force out someone like Cashmere or Moors.

Why change a winning team?

One things for sure, Marshall will be the 7\. Why can't people get their head around it. He ahd a shocker back at 6 last week. He's basically the same player at 6 or 7\. Farah jumps out of dummy half and acts like a 1st receiver (7) with Benji standing a bit wider like a second receiver (6) anyway. Those cutt out passes to Koro were more 5/8 type plays then halfbacks.

Its not 2005\. He doesn't have the speed and agility he once had. He needs his hands on the ball as much as possible to control the game and to pickk and choose the big plays. He has echoed this himself last week and post match last night. Benji will be the Tigers 7 for years to come, better get used to it and for mine it is his best position.

I'd be fine with giving Moltzen a run at 6, but yep Sheens has said Lawrence will be the 6 when fit. He reckons his speed gives him the advantage over Fulton. Personally I dont think Lawrence reads the play quickly enough to choose the right options at 6 and is very prone to a wayward pass.

Personally I think Moltzen would make a better 5/8th than Fulton or Lawrence, plus we would end up with a better fullback in Ryan.

1\. Ryan
6\. Moltzen
7\. Marshall

Currently we have a ball playing fb in moltz and a running 58 in Fulton
So I see no issue in having a ball playing 58 in moltz and running fb in ryan (who does all the elementary stuff better than moltz eg. High balls, kick returns)
This also offers more pace in the back line with Simona or when Lawrence returns.

I noticed moltz played in the halves in the last 15 when ryan came back on and benji was really in his element at that point

that spine should stay as is from now til finals, give them a chance to work together, as it will be our best spine since Round 1.

Don't change it unless there's injury, and if there is injury, replace the injured with a specialist in that position
ie - Ryan injured, bring in Meaney, Marshall injured, bring in Chisholm, Moltzen injured, bring in Miller, Farah injured, bring in Politoni or Iosefa.

Madunit your a joke, that little signage you've got there of Blair is disgraceful, Pull your head in.

Really amazes me how blind some people are

For all those who didn't notice
Last night Moltz was playing full back in defensive in 5/8 in attach

both Benji and Moltz roamed both sides of the field , And it worked well

So no point shifting Moltz into the halves , and trying to find a fullback …..

Like others would like to see Moltzen playing no6, especially against the dragons. Early on in the season when he was the no7 he actually defended well. I just think his positional play at no1 is not up to scratch. Although really our problems lay in our defense and that where all our attention should be focused. After seeing the replay of last night, we did not fall off tackles, we did not make them and stood still as the other mob just stepped their way through the defense. It was u15 stuff

Pull your head in princess.

I'll gladly remove the signature when Blair's performances warrant it to be removed.

Moi Moi was slowing down to let support catch up to him. Any fullback would have done the same. Some of you people just do not see Moltzen as he really is. Lacks confidence and talent to play first grade. Fell off a tackle to allow a try, just stood there when the chip came his way. Only for Koro, another try under the posts. I have said it before and I will say it again and again. He is NOT a first grade footballer. Please Moltzen fans, tell us a worse fullback playing in the competition this year.

We could have and probably should have been playing with that spine from Rd 1 - Moltzen was our preferred HB going in to the season and had trained in the position all off season - had we gone this way our 1,6,7, 9 would have been pretty settled all year apart from a few weeks of injury and SOO.

Oh and by the way to all those who will howl me down and say Moltzen isn't a HB - all i can say is he isn't FB either.
