Team vs Newtown

I expect Luani to play.

He wasn't named for the post Origin side after the first game but once Farah pulled through ok he was added.

If Koro has signed with the Storm than I doubt he will be in the team as he will be heading down the Hume highway with his goods and shackles. Was thinking of heading out to LO mainly to see Koro and Moses combine, not sure if Iam that keen now

What, is he under arrest and forced to go down to Melbourne??

It's only Potter doing the arresting.

Wests Tigers Vs Newtown Jets
Leichhardt Oval, Saturday, June 21
Kick-off: 3.00pm
Referee: Jon Stone
Broadcast: Radio Coverage courtesy of Steele Sports Radio (Link available via [www.steelesports.com.au](http://www.steelesports.com.au))

Summary:
The Newtown Jets tasted defeat for the first time in over a month last weekend when they went down to the Knights by two points while the Tigers enjoyed the bye. The Tigers head into this clash sitting pretty in third place on the ladder, and field a side that is capable of knocking off any other team on their day. Kurtis Rowe is now back in the fold after filling the boots of Tedesco in first grade for a while, add to that, the competitions most lethal try scorer in Marika Koroibete and also a talented young half in Mitchell Moses, and you get the sense that the Tigers will be there at the pointy end of the season in some way shape or form. The Jets had built some wonderful momentum in recent weeks, and while that wouldn’t have been completely eroded last weekend, it would have certainly put the brakes on it somewhat. Jonathon Reuben comes back into the side after missing last week, as does Willis Meehan who made his first grade debut for the Roosters last round. These two sides generally put on a good show when they come together, so there are plenty of reasons to head out to Leichhardt Oval on Saturday afternoon.

Block of a lock: We will throw this out there… Is Kane Evans the largest lock in the history of rugby league? Probably not, but this young tyro is usually seen wearing the number eight or ten on his back, not number thirteen! Although in fairness, it’s quite possible that both starting props in Meehan and Verlinden are actually bigger than Evans, so if you want to start him as well, he has to play somewhere.

Prediction:
If the Tigers pick up where they left off prior to the bye, they will be hard to beat. Tigers by 8.

Koro left yesterday, Tigers have signed Bulldogs ex under 20's winger Jon Sila as a possible replacement. lol if you thought Koro was shaky in defence, wait till you see this guy!! And is not even in the same planet attack wise as Koro!! Demoted to Ron Massey at the dogs before Des said see you later. :deadhorse: :brick:

That's him, and anyone can score 20+ tries in 20's. Ask Rowe that. NSW CUP and 1st is a different game all together.

So what about the blinding attack and endless trys that Koro's been producing in state cup this year ? i guess then we can't judge Koro based on his state cup form this season as it is a completely different game to 1st grade. Oh well i guess we can always judge him based on his inability to catch a ball, throw a pass, make a read in defence and/or make a tackle that he so often displayed in the NRL last year and even in round 1 this season. Seriously, people really need to stop being hypocritical and blaming anyone and everyone and then vindicating their concerns with hypocritical comments. This smells a lot like the whole junior Moors situation and we all know how that ended up - I'm still waiting for him to live up to the hype.

Tony33 get off the drugs mate, i was talking about John Sila and the 20's comp! Marika's form has been outstanding in Reggies this year, i know because i've gone to all bar one of their games. Tell me how many tries have been scored down Marika's side in his games this year and then compare that Taukafa's/Hitchcox's side?? lol Nofa makes just as many bad reads in 1st grade also and is running around on one leg at the moment. :crazy

Mate you clearly suggested that Koro's replacements (Rowe and Sila) were no where near as capable as Koro himself despite their lower grade form suggesting otherwise. All three players have shown explosiveness in attack in the lower grades but for some reason Sila and Rowe's strike rate do not count because there is a massive difference between NSW Cup/NYC and first grade. However Koro is far superior to the other two because he has been blitzzing them in state cup and has conceded fewer trys then other state cup players ? LOLL Please ! i too have watched numerous state cup games also and the only thing i can agree with you on is that the gulf in class between the two grades is MASSIVE. Bring Koro up to the NRL and Johnahton Thurston, Cherry evans, James Maloney and even Benji Marshall will terrorise him with bombs all night. At least Nofo can catch a ball, without giving us all heart attacks

Based on NRL form over the past 2 seasons Nofo is a much better player than Koro at this point in time and Patty is going to hold his position until the end of next year. I think Koro could be the ideal replacement for Patty in 2016, if he wants to wait that would be great. if not, then mehh no great loss at this point in time.

Gavet won't be playing today. He's hoping next week though (NRL / State Cup?) which is better news than first thought,

PL

Hope they even give him 20 minutes in the NRL

The confidence he will bring the side alone will be good for us

Gavet what a joke do you really think he will be playing NRL next week ! Think not… honestly I just wish a bit of honesty with all is the way to go. If he won't be back until round 20 so be it! just say it who cares . This rubbish of teasing supporters with obviously false statements is a joke the guy is ready or he is not!!! I am glad they are not diagnosing me.

Your kidding right?! Medical staff can't do anything about it, hamstrings can be very difficult to deal with, you can twinge it over and over again, and it's better not to risk them. Why the hell would they tease us? Bizarre suggestion

Listening to Steele Sports and it's not a bad call, 4 minutes to go and the Tigers are leading 26-16, former Balmain player Rotten Taumata scored for the Jets but the Tigers defence is incredible.
