As for Teddy he is such a good player. I'd love to see him get the NSW no 1 spot but I'm cool with him not getting it because I want to see him have a full injury free season for the Tigers.

Exactly right. I've made this same comment in the other thread.

Fair enough the kids got a bit frustrated trying to play to the coach's strategy. That is not the same as the coach getting it wrong.
foreveratiger quotes probably the worst example possible of a player wanting to just play what he sees in front of him: Chris Sandow. Being a loose cannon on the field and not being able to play the way the coach instructs is good enough reason to be dumped. Don't think many Souths fans were too upset to see the back of him, definitely not the Souths fans I know.
It's a team game, you do what is best for the team.
All Tedesco says is they got a bit frustrated last year trying to play a different structure, but after a year's more experience (the halves had 32 games total at the start of 2015), he's loosened up. Perhaps they've earned the right to play more of their own game if they are showing more maturity and control.
The part about not being able to score tries because were trying to complete sets - pure speculation. I'll sign up for life any player who can guarantee a try if they run the special play instead of aiming to completing a set.
@Eddie said:If he was playing somewhere else he would probably already have a blue jumper.
Even on the wing he would do a better job then a plodder like Hopoate or Mcmanus
@foreveratiger said:Everything that I wrote about Chris Sandow is what he said about himself in the interview I was listening to at the time.
So you don't think his a player that plays what he sees? Of course he does and that's what gave him his name Originally at Souths, Arthur just doesn't play to Sandow's style.
I've never been a fan of him personally, the countless wasted Shoulder Charges he used to put on…..very low percentage plays.
@foreveratiger said:I remember listening to an interview with Chris Sandow last year when Parramatta finally released him and he said pretty much the reason he was in Reserve Grade was that he wasn't allowed to play what he saw and that his game is all about instincts and taking the line on.

you need to be able to balance structured and unstructured play.
@Pokies said:Phew lucky it was Tedesco that came out with these comments, had it been pretty much any other member of our squad and they would have been slammed for creating disharmony within the team. Had our 9 said it then we would probably be up to page 20 of this thread and some on the verge of a meltdown.

Woods.
That's about it.
So why wouldn't anyone else be criticised?

Thats the whole point Innsaneink, our star player who is the only player in the squad who 100% of this forum would like (even Woodsy has a couple of people who are not fans) has publicy questioned the tactics we used last year. Yet for months people like Stevetiger, Eddie, goldcoast tiger and others have been getting ridiculed for even suggesting this thought. If people are so strong in their opinions why no calling out tedesco?
