This is the most important part of it. After an injury like that, it will mess with your confidence in your ability and your body. Moltzen hasn't been the same player since doing his.

Hope everyone on here gives the kid time and doesn't think he will be our savior for 2013\. Leading in to this year he had everything going for him. Amazing form at the back of end 2011, a full off season with the team and solid form in the trials. I think he should, and will, be brought back through the lower grades.

C'mon mate comparing Moltz to Teddy is harsh

One is a pure fullback ,one isn't

You are spot on CB. I had a knee reco 14 months ago and it is always in the back of your mind that if you step the wrong way it is going to let go again. I hope teddy can get over the mental aspect of his injury and get back to top form. Like others I reckon he'll be brought back through the lower grades to build his confidence up.

Has nothing to do with as to whether Moltzen is a fullback or not. If something as simple as an ACL can rub you out for a 12 month period, you would put doubt into your body's ability to meet the physcial demand of a sport such as Rugby League.

So with the possibility/probability that he won't be our starting fullback next year, who deserves a shot?

Whoever trains at halfback all Pre season. Oh wait those days are hopefully behind us

For better or for worse, if Tedesco does start next season in FG, I'd say Moltzen will be fullback. I'd be inclined to give Tim Simona a shot though.

As someone who is recovering from a knee reconstruction, mental confidence in the knee takes the longest to recover according to the Physio's who treat many of these injuries.
Here's hoping Tedesco is one of those who doesn't have those mental issues.

I am a big fan of Teddy's but I don't think we can expect too much in the first half of the season. As others have said the mental side of this injury is the hardest to deal with and even with full time training, the best doctors/physios and the best equipment at his disposal none of that will prepare him for the first time he has to put confidence in the knee.

I have had an ACL reconstruction and did the full 12 months rehab, everything was feeling good and solid again then three games back into playing an innocuous little jump backwards to avoid someone and I popped the screw out of the bone and had to have another full reconstruction.

That's the problem with this injury everything can feel great but if the graph of the new ligament hasn't taken full hold yet your straight back to where you started. I hope for his sake he doesn't have my bad luck as I think we need him at the back so that Moltzen can move into the halves or even centre and get him away form the high bombs which he doesn't appear to have confidence under.

If Tedesco or Rowe are not ready, how can Moltzen be ready ? :crazy

Tedesco
Rowe
Simona
Rudolph
