I think you will find it was Tedesco who told Wests Tigers he would give them an answer on Tuesday but not to be out done Wests Tigers now say they have given him an ultimatum. You will find that the Wests Tigers offer was only 300k.

How do you know all this mate….are you his brother?

Nope..I know the guy..I can tell you his playing golf right now with Braith Benji and Moltz

great…with the merc's

Golf is a great game…but there are two areas of the body it puts enormous strain on...the back and the knee...I didn't know Moltz had fully recovered from his broken knee cap to play golf.......

Then again Moltz is probably carrying Benjis bag....

It really sinks you though when you think about it , we have nurtured him from a kid , been patient throughout his injuries and then get a club paying supposedly massive overs and we can't compete with them , makes you think twice with all your efforts in junior development.
Gee I'm glad we signed Brooks when we did instead of say trying to sign him at this moment in time the Raiders maybe would of paid massive overs for him to

Brooks will never leave. He has grown up as a diehard tigers supporter and will shed blood for the club as he delivers his beloved tigers a premiership or two in the future. Hopefully Teddy can see that and stick around, would definitely not do his career any harm and would surely demand the $800k his currently after in his next contract (if he kicks on). But if a 21 year old young man is so desperate for so much money at this point in time then so be it, let him walk and destroy his career. It would be so sad to see him leave the tigers for a basket case club like the raiders.. so sad

lol so a 20 year old dude is playing golf with those guys? Just those 3 blokes and none of his other mates? Good one Irvine, you've got a creative mind.

He will be getting good advice of Benji , "take the money at the Raiders loyalty doesn't exist at that club "

Haha I think it would be quite the opposite.

Benji would have wished he stayed.

I am sure he thought he would be right outside of tigers….

We all know how that has worked out so far.

Good work Mayer. Don't let this drag on and don't buckle to Teddy's manager's bullshit. Sign or don't, use the time to sign another player and lock in Gavet, Ava and Thomson.

If it all goes to hell and Teddy signs with Canberra, the blame will not lie with Tiger's management .

Being a regular poster on this forum you would know at times people post a lot of crap regarding rumours and inside information etc…

Without being disrespectful, given that the Teddy contract is the hottest WT topic this year...As you indicated you know Tedesco, you should know this about him...do you mind validating your information by:

1) Confirming whether Teddy has a university degree or not?
2) If he does which University did he attend?
3) If he did attend Uni what degree did he obtain?.

I know the answer to the above 3 questions and will gladly post them on here.

Tedesco decision on NRL future next week
Written by: AAP+ Filled in: NRL News | 26/5/2014 at 2:25pm
Star fullback James Tedesco will have decided his future by the time he returns for Wests Tigers next week, and, according to his manager, it won’t be solely dictated by money.

Tedesco is set to return from an ankle injury for the Tigers’ round 13 match against Newcastle on June 8, with the joint venture enjoying the bye this weekend.

The 21-year-old’s manager Sam Ayoub and Wests Tigers boss Grant Meyer both hosed down reports the Tigers had issued a 5pm deadline on Monday for Tedesco to decide his future.

Meyer confirmed discussions were ongoing with Ayoub on Monday but denied an ultimatum had been made.

“Not at all,” he said.

“The reality of the situation is discussions are ongoing and we are hopeful of retaining James.

“We are keen for him to be part of the future of the club.”

Meyer described reports of a $2 million offer over four years as “nonsensical”.

“We are in further discussions but after that I don’t want to comment any more.”

Ayoub said the Camden Rams junior was keen to have his future sorted out before his likely return against the Knights.

Tedesco has been linked to a move to Canberra, with Raiders chief executive David Furner signalling the start of an aggressive recruitment campaign.

Canterbury captain Michael Ennis and Penrith winger Josh Mansour have also been linked to Ricky Stuart’s side.

Ayoub described as “baseless” reports that the Raiders had tabled a $3.2 million deal to Tedesco.

He said the Tigers had presented an offer and Tedesco was waiting on the Raiders before deciding where he would be playing in 2015 and beyond.

“It is an ongoing process and we are working through that,” Ayoub said.

“We are hoping to make a decision as soon as possible to ease the pressure on him.

“And contrary to some of the reports out there, the decision he does make won’t be solely based on money.”

fair call…you certainly wouldn't go to canberra for the pleasure of being coached by Mr Sticky....or the wonderful climate and abundance of night life....

Heard from a reliable source that if Teddy does leave, WT have a suitable replacement lined up…... That's all I have so don't ask me who or from where , I'm assuming it's not from nrl comp but that's just my theory

When Sailor, Tuqiri, and Rogers left for Union and Hunt and Folau left for AFL it "was not about money".

It's the PR language used before a player makes a decision for precisely that reason.

Look, good luck to Tedesco if that's why he leaves. I can't blame him, but I don't have to throw him a parade or not associate him with negative emotions.
