I reckon he should clear out his locker and go now .why pick him for the rest of the year if he's now committed to another club!
I hate all of these mid year signings ….what a joke !

The only saving grace is that he didn't go to the roosters or dogs. He will still play with Brooks …for NSW in the coming years!.It was great seeing his attacking play but hard watching him hoping he would get up ok every time he was tackled, went through that with Benji in the early years remember. Rowe is solid but has no where near the skill and attack of Tedesco and we will miss him. I do feel he is injury prone though, at least he will have plenty of ice down in Canberra!!

And as far as Tedesco signing him when he was young like Brooks & Moses - well before this year Tedesco didn't look anything special at all so it's understandable.

Get rid of him immediately so he's available for the Faiders when they play us at Cambo…..another 15-20k crowd easy given it'll be a Sundiy arvo

But in all honesty, I don't think we should waste our time with him for the rest of the year....It's not like there's a replacement set in stone and it makes sense for the trial period for those in contention for the FB spot long term (e.g. Rowe, Abou-Sleiman and even possibly Simona) to start ASAP instead of during the trials, 9's and early rounds of 2015....Furthermore, the bloke's not a club stalwart and its not as if we're doing a disservice to him by not letting him see out the season.....

This is a sad day for everyone but Tedesco and the Raiders.....there seemed to be a unanimous view that he would go onto great things at WT with his partners in crime Brooks and farah beside him....Now he's going down the most regressive team in the league with the worst coach and most uninspiring halves in the league to feed off....the decision must have been entirely based on $ as its not humanely possible the raiders could prove more appealing in any other facet....Loyalty is dead, buried and cremated in the modern game and its only really hit home in light of today's event for mine.....

Pity. Rowe is doing handstands. Should go after Mansour.

Looks like Mansour will be heading down to the capital as well along with Ennis and Proctor….....Rowe won't be 1st choice next year

I still want to win games this year so I'd like to see Tedesco playing fullback, but if Potter thinks Rowe is next year's fullback he should put Teddy in reggies.

Has to happen, it will also give the club a chance to see over the next 5/6 weeks if Rowe is the answer. No point in playing him in Reggies and them putting him up next year.

Tedesco said he's looking forward to getting back on the field and playing with his mates. I didn't know he was so close with the NSW Cup boys

If he is our best option for the rest of the year play him for the rest of the year. The club benefits by making the finals and he gives them the best chance of doing so.

End of the day is a successful club does not pay overs for players, they do not massively backload contracts pushing for a win now at all costs philosophy.

They build a culture which makes players want to come for a real chance at success.

I think the replacement is at the club. I think Mason Farrell is a long term option while we either shift Simona and promote Koro or play Moses to acclimate him to the NRL. Having watched them both my opinion is Farrell was a better talent at SG Ball level than Teddy was anyway.

Best of luck next year with Sticky to Teddy because he is going to fricken well need it

This really is a disgrace - just over 10 yrs ago, the club made a decision to put juniors first when we lost Hoffman to Melb over money. Since then, there are few local products that we've not signed up early to keep in the club.

The issue I see here is not that we didn't match the Raiders offer, it's that we didn't get this kid signed up before they even entered the discussion. The comments by Mayer in the statement about him being a marquee for them, but apparently not for us, are an absolute slap in the face to the fans.

I'm going to get slammed over this because according to pretty much everyone on here Mayer can do no wrong, but we've got an amatuer of a CEO and this has finally proven it. It's an embarrassing look for the club to lose a potential superstar after the amount of players we've shed in the past 2-3 years, an absolute embarrassment! Blame previous management for part of it, sure, but this issue should fall squarely in the hands of the CEO.

I really don't know what you expected of Mayer here?

Last year Tedesco hadn't yet regained his speed, was looking timid, slipping and sliding all over the place, and hardly setting the world alight.

Were you expecting Mayer to lock him in for a long term deal without knowing if he would make a full recovery from his injury, and without knowing what he truly was capable of at NRL level?

As you would have it, this year the kid has set the field alight and attracted interest from everywhere. Was Mayer somehow supposed to crystal ball this scenario, and make an offer to Teddy while he was playing rubbish footy 12 months ago?

I know its disappointing to lose such a good young player who is a local junior to boot, but attacking the CEO is not going to achieve a different outcome, especially when he realistically could not have done much differently.

Ayoub insisted Tedesco is up to the pressure, and said a chance to be part of coach Ricky Stuart's rebuild proved too hard to resist.

"He can see the big picture going forward. They're a club which is in a rebuilding phase and he's going to be a part of that,'' he said.

Biggest load of crap I've ever read. He went for the money. This club is in a much better position in their rebuilding phase.

as a tiger supporter it has sucked following teddy.
i waited during all the hype of his junior career to then watch for half an hour and see him go down with a season ending injury.
watched his mediocre return and then after the halfway point of last season start to see teddy blossom.
starts the new season as the form player in the comp and then comes down with injury and now we are losing him.
sucks ass.

i lay no blame on teddy,it is just the way it goes as a football supporter.

just wish i could see the books

What a shame!
Surely Potter cannot play him in first grade for the rest of the year? I will be disappointed if he is in our number one jersey for the remainder of this season!

We don't need Tedesco to play in order to win games. Our team without him have shown they are capable. How would Kurtis Rowe feel to be dropped to State Cup for someone who has signalled his intention not to play for Wests Tigers. For the team's sake Wests Tigers need to blood new talent in the important fullback position in firsts as soon as possible this season. This is Wests Tigers privilege the same as it is Tedesco's privilege to decide prior to mid-season to play for another club. I doubt there is anything in Tedesco's contract that says he must play in Wests Tigers firsts for the remainder of the year?
