Happy and Irvine are so belligerent about how hard done by poor old Jimmy is by the club…if that's how Tedesco feels, I actually want him to leave. Don't mind him negotiating for money, but being a sook about it all like he's a 150 game veteran is a bit rich.

Well said. I don't remember his 50th or 100th game, i don't remember the game winning try he scored, or the final game he won us, or the comp he won us.

Club put him in 1st grade as an 18 year old. Since then he has played 20 games, 5 or 6 very well.

We should be offering 400-450K max and if that is not enough for a guy with 20 games under his belt then please let him go. If he stays on the field then we can earn a bigger contract in a couple of years

Please don't tell me a 20 year old with 20 games to his credit in 3 years is being hard done by at WT.

The average NRL player only gets to play FG for 4-6 years, Teddy is just planning for the future most kids don't do that and get Injured and spend there lives going from pay check to pay check. I cannot believe how some people are talking about this kid saying he is a Sook and an ''Arrogant this'' and a ''selfish that'' he is only a kid and he only wants what's best for him like EVERYONE does…......

Well if you offered that much 400-450K max it wouldn't be a problem…Would it.

That is 100% fine. Come out and say that and then leave. I would have no problem with that. Just please don't tell us he is being hard done by at WT after playing 20 games in 3 years.

Who cares? I bet he doesn't.

He's on the verge of earning $1.5million over 3 years at age 21\. I'm sure he doesn't care that some upset fans are calling him a sook, arrogant, selfish etc.

If he feels the Tigers have insulted him with the offer than I think he is having a sook. Work out the contract, whether you it's good or it's no good and take it. We owe him nothing, he owes us nothing. It'd be nice to think players loves the club as much as we do, so it's disappointing when they seem pretty flippant about leaving.

That's about the sum of it.

I was more thinking $300 to $350 with incentives. These other players off contract aren't going to wait forever to be resigned. The club needs to set a dead line so we can all move on!!! If he wants to chase the cash, let him go.

apparently we have offered Teddy $2.4M over 4 years…not bad for a player who has only displayed potential....and played less than 50% of the games he's been available in his NRL career....If he doesn't take this...Hasta la vista Teddy...as Benji found out....no one is bigger than the club!!

woah, thats a massive lump of money. hope we aren't losing anyone important to keep him. i was thinking more like 450-500k over 4 years not 600k.

Where did this figure come from????

You may have you offers confused, the tigers and raiders offers are miles apart

How in hell is he being a sook ??

He's been offered $550 k to leave and the Tigers have offered a little over 300 k

If he was being a sook he would of told us to take this offer and shove it

But he hasn't , he is still weighing it up

If you think I'm being belligerent about all this , stop sending me PM's asking me about it

If $600k p/a average over 4 years is actually on offer then that's massive overs! Also highly likely that we would have had to backload the last few years in a huge way which may well backfire horribly. (My completely uninformed guess is that would be the raiders offer not ours though)

I'm guessing that our offer would be an average of ~$450k over 3 or 4 years which would be more than fair!

edit - Happy, is that $300k just for the first year then increasing a lot (heavily backloaded) over the rest of the contract or $300k p/a average over the entire life of the contract?

I'm just peeved that all this is happening now and that there is a very high possibility that we will lose Tedesco so early on, when he hasn't even really got going with WT in the NRL yet  I could handle it a bit more if he had already put in a couple of good seasons with us, but what can you do?

If we have offered a bit over 300k between that and 400k is the max he should be tabled for a kid of his experience you don't become a tradesman without doing an apprenticeship and he has not IMO.
I think your mate or your acquaintance, friend of friend or whoever he is to you is clouding your judgment on the cold hard facts of the matter which is he doesn't command the sort of money for his experience.
If he gets it elsewhere fair play to him I wish him well.

Well seeing I haven't been told otherwise I'd have to guess that would be the average over the 4 years Softlaw

And its slightly over $300 k Softlaw

He doesn't want anywhere 550 k Doc (but if they offered that he probably sign dressed in a Tutu )

Listening to Potter I reckon we have offered him a packet. If he doesn't sign so be it but I get the impression the club has done the right thing.

Then that's about as far under as 600 is over :frowning:
