Everyone should just have a cold shower. This is the salary cap in action - one club has a player that they want to keep but less money under the cap than another club who wants to recruit that player. If the roles were reversed, the Wests Tigers fans would be screaming for us to poach that player.

We just need to wait and see whether the money talks louder than the disadvantages of changing clubs. For what it's worth (bugger all!), I reckon he'll stay and the lynch mob can put away the rope and bring out the flowers and choccies; until he strings together a few average games or gets injured.

Not surprisingly Ayoub has said the $800k is baseless and Mayer has said we haven't offered anything crazy like $2 mil over 4 years.

still a big decision to be made for Teddy. I hope he stays, but Im glad that Mayer is n't just rolling over either.

You'd hope those figures are incorrect or Ricky has really lost the plot. Fair enough paying overs for a playmaker but 800k for a young FB, 500k for a good but hardly brilliant hooker and more for a second rower?? They have no halves apart from an ageing Campese. How many clubs will the guy ruin before he's banned?

You have to wonder where Canberra are getting all the cash from to spread around. Milford is not on that much coin I'm sure. They must've benefited from that Budget out of Canberra somehow :wink: If so, they are the only ones :laughing:

This contract saga is a real joke…Ayoub his manager comes across as a shonky used car salesman....

Why is it some players can pen a deal in a matter of 2 or 3 days yet Tedesco and his manager have played out his next contract in the media over 3 months.

Teddy and his shonky manager supposedly have had offers from the Dogs and Roosters as well as our offers to gauge his market worth. It’s clear the Dogs and Chooks have lost interest or can’t compete with our offers...I’ll go for the latter as a theory...that being the case we are offering this prima dona and his manager a very good deal...so why test the market further if Tedesco is genuinely interested in staying with the Tigers?...all this speculation can be put to bed by Ayoub and Tedesco but they choose to continue to string everyone along.....good luck Tedesco...you have gone down a few rungs for mine...**if I were the Tigers i’d be putting some heavy hitting clauses that states you must play more than your current 41% availability**...

He'll stay. Thats my baseless opinion. Money is something, but its not everything. Lifestyle, winning premierships and playing with potentially the best young upcoming halves combination in the league must be pretty big draw cards too.
