Because at this stage with the situation probably at its most crucial stage I've been asked not to

And who's to say that the Tigers in a last ditch effort to keep Teddy don't move their offer

So once Teddy has put pen to paper you will reveal all?

If I'm able , the Tigers may want to make a big deal over his signing if it happens and I will respect the wishes of those concerned

With the extra year that the Tigers are offering over Canberra they are still 300 k short of the Raiders offer

u

300k over four years???

When clubs spend good coin on a player they, as well as their fans expect results just ask Adam Blair. Canberra would be a fish bowl with no where to hide. If Tedesco's form drops (being a fullback this may be no fault of his own) there will be a lot of pressure put on the young man. Everybody knows how tough Blair has copped it in the last couple of years & that is not in a one team town. Good luck to him no matter what he chooses ,I just hope the Tigers don't up there offer as it is time we start looking towards a sustainable future.

Why would James Tedesco go to the Raiders for $800,000 per season when Anthony Milford knocked it back…the raiders did everything to keep Milford and they still couldn't convince him, and Milford would know the club better than anyone having come up through their ranks...not only that, but who wants to play for a team that gets flogged every week which would make it very hard for Tedesco to crack any representative teams...he could kiss future premierships goodbye,,, and can you imagine the type of pressure Tedesco is going to get being on that kind of contract, the bloke will implode down there in the nations capital...Canberra have no notable senior players to assist the younger fellas as does Tigers' Farah...The Canberra deal stinks in it's total, the only thing that is attractive about it is the money, but the offer stinks of a club who struggles to attract anyone and needs to pay MASSIVE over for players...the Canberra deal is career suicide!!!

Sticky has promised him the world. Reassured him that they are on a heavy recruitment drive to build a new club. He's fallen for it and with the overs Canberra is paying I guarantee 100% tigers won't up their offer and is gone

Canberra have alot of good juniors coming through, so he wont be a lone soldier.

The likes of Wighton, Cornish, Boyd who have already played a bit of first grade, along with Branko Lee, Patrick Mago, Jack Ahearn plus a few others who have been ear marked as career footballer and in the case of Mago and Branko Lee alot are saying future rep players.

I dont think they are a basket case.

You can't blame tedesco if he takes up the massive offer from Canberra if the figures that are thrown around are correct ? It's unbelievable money for a young fella . Tedesco probably realises he's only one step away from another long injury …( he's about as stable in his feet as a new born giraffe )
If he does get another injury after signing with Canberra ... Well it's money for jam really !

There's plenty on here that say they're gonna be devastated if he goes, but lets remember how bloody good Potter was as a fullback. He would have to be the best teacher for our young guys in that position. I'm not concerned. Matter of fact, I think I'm kind of relieved that we're saving our cash for guys that want to be there rather than line their pockets.

Good summation wd.

Can we release him mid season if he decides to leave? They wouldn't have a problem and neither would our club I dont think?

On NRL.com there is an article announcing that James will make his decision before next week's Newcastle game

That to me would signal he's staying! Surely if he was going to Canberra he would announce it now coming into the bye, so by the time next weeks game comes around most fans would have vented and moved on. Coming into the game could also be potentially disruptive to the teams preparations via the media jumping on the story. Interesting times ahead, and I really hope the young bloke stays as there is a very damaging spine in the future with Brooks, Moses, Tedesco and Farah. He would be a huge loss and very disappointing considering the injuries we've backed him through and the fact he was a local junior.
