I'd be pissed if I was a raiders fan, stoked to have him back!

Same thing happened when Papalli back flipped on Parra, so you win some you lose some. The raiders seem to lose more than they win, but
I can't help but think Mayer is the accidental hero in all this.

You people are unbelievable. ''Lets all love him again, and go back to claiming he's the next Billy Slater''. And i notice the $ is gone from his name, how fickle. And to the one who said the comments on here must have swayed him, thanks for the laugh. Cos your opinion on the internet carries more sway then 2 and a half million dollars.

Let us be creatures completely driven by spur of the moment emotions on this occasion

The second half of your post is spot on though

The tigers prob told him how much of his extra pay would of been going to tax . then living away does he buy a house there or rent ? or stay at tigers and buy a house on still a great wage . Im no money expert but ive heard of the amounts of tax the high brackets can pay sometime not worth it

In this day and age he would be well ware of all the in in'sand out's of Tax minimisation, all the things that the most of our forum members have no idea of yet alone being able being able to take advantage of.
It's all about having an asset that earns less than it increases in earnings, negative gearing!.

Sometimes it is more than money that really matters.

People didn't like him because he chose to go to Canberra because they offered more money than the Tigers. They put the $ sign in his name for the same reason. He has now decided that the $ aren't worth it.

Obviously those criticisms will be withdrawn.

Seems like Robbie Farah had a big influence on him changing his mind. Took him aside after training when he saw that his mind was elsewhere.

Lokks like he was never comfortable with his decision to leave. Obviously Ayoub, Marshall and Braith did have an influence on him making a decision he was never entirely comfortable with.

Welcome back James, I was angry that you were leaving and I apologise for bagging you.
Good luck this weekend! :sign:

Don't apologise. it was a dumb decsion by him to leave…plus indirectly I reckon our "bagging" influenced his change of heart

On behalf of all the people who aren't delusional, let me spell it out.

You, and no one who carried on like you, had anything to do with the change of heart.

I was upset by his decision, as were many. He's still just a young man who deserves some leeway in terms of making mistakes. I Thought he should be dropped for the sake future planning but I'm glad Mayer and Potter are in charge and not me.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and to express it freely and objectively on here …we live in a free country....do I detect a hint of hypocrisy in your post....hmmm

Predictable

I dont think its a stretch to suggest the pros most people argued on here for him staying and NOT going to canberra, didnt play a part in his re-decision

Of course they will, we'll go back to loving him now. Completely shameless.

I wouldnt be so sure.

Ive seen reference to ''supporters criticisms'' in storys on Tedesco this week, one being Woods.

Maybe it did play a part in his decision

If it were me, and people were talking about me the way they've talked about him, id have been more likely to have asked to be released now, as opposed to reneging. It really makes a lot of sense that he'd want to appease a supporter base that spat in his face. NOT!!!

….and what do you think raiders fans are saying about him right now?

Exactly what we were saying the past week.

But thats where he was going, where the fans are OK right?????

Pffft

Fickleness and irrationality isnt exclusive to WTs fans, its endemic to passionate fans of pro sports teams the world over, if you cant hack that then the sports not for you

This has to be the most ironic comment made this yr given whats been said about Tedesco the last week.

And i'm the one being dramatic lmao

Wow really glad I resisted posting absolutely anything until all of this blew over to avoid being the hypocrite that a lot of you unfortunately look like now. Sadly a lot of credibility lost with some of you I'm sure you're embarrassed…:frowning:

Gotta be honest I kinda expected this would be a 'moltzenesque' scenario and was willing to hold the damning and swearing until he actually put on a green jersey. I agree a lot about the leverage comments from some of you - textbook milking money really well done by Ayoub and probably James himself (and others).

In saying that we all make mistakes posters now let's move on and be glad to have a superstar junior well and truly retained.

Fingers crossed that:

1\. We didn't pay too much over our initial offer

2\. His injuries are a thing of the past.

He made the right decision. He made it in a very round-about way, but eventually he arrived at the decision we wanted. What reason do we have to bag him now?

He is now a member of our team now and going forward, it's not like we're going to hate on him all season.

Personally, I'm so stoked it's unhealthy.

Well done Teddy. Good loyal decision. Take your money at 25 after winning at least two premierships and a few SOO series.

Remember by then the cap will have doubled and you will be even better.

He was copping fall out for taking too long to sign

You don't think he could see that this abuse was coming

I said this many pages ago and I will say it again

James Tedesco is a far better man than I am

For all of those saying we can't now love him again perhaps ponder a good quote from Churchill

When the Facts Change, I Change My Mind. What Do You Do, Sir?

Churchill was being asked why he changed his vote on an issue relating to Germany pre World war.

In case it's not obvious… Only an idiot blindly sticks to a position when the facts change.

Yes, just watched NRL360\. Robbie obviously played a big part in his decision to stay. That's our captain.

I'm tempted to Drive to Newie on Sunday with a sign saying

"Drove here just to say thanks Teddy"
